Adelshaus Kennels is a not-for-profit kennel dedicated to performance-based American Small Munsterlander Pointers compatible with those of Germany but oriented towards North American hunting conditions; the conservation of our precious wildlife; and dedicated to raising the levels of the world-wide gene pool for this remarkable versatile breed. We are not professional breeders per se; rather, I am the president of the AKC Small Munsterlander Pointer Club of America, and both my wife, Cathi, and I are dedicated to enhancing the Small Munsterlander gene pool in America. To this end, we do not sell puppies, but give them to owners willing to breed dogs that prove themselves breed worthy after training and testing. Of course we are not "dreamers", so we require an $800 bond from the owner from which the costs of Penn Hip testing as well as NAVHDA NA and UT test entries will be reimbursed. The bond is placed in an interest bearing account at Bank of America, overseen by the local bank manager (also a puppy owner). When the dog has been tested, whether breedable or not, the balance of the bond is returned with interest.
