Ya Steve that is crazy.  What is your minimum wage over there?

My money comes from the UK. and the pension in the UK is low. The Belgians lowest earning  Pensioner earns double of what i get come over every month and it is a fight to keep going. The cost of living in Belgium is over a quarter higher than the UK
Over here if the fuel cost per Liter is higher than 58 cents a Liter on house hold fuel the Belgians get a refund,
I do not get any thing back because i have never worked in Belgium to pay there income tax.So i pay the full price every time.
If you are an Immigrant and come over to Belgium and as one you get everything including a house and money every month far more than i get
I came over to  Belgium  to compete with the Pigeons Long Distance to Barcelona,
i bought my own house and i get nothing from the Belgium Govenment, I pay everything else the Belgians have to pay other than income tax and to be honest i would not bring enough cash in to pay any as such. I am not bitter about it the choice was mine but it is a struggle, so if fuel keeps rising i will have to cut the training sessions down to once a week at the club

Mom and Pop shops Diesel is $4.09 a gallon. $3.51 for the cheap gas and $3.81 for HO per gallon.

When I was 18 HO gas was $0.90 a gallon and Diesel $1.05 a gallon !!!!

$3.99 Regular, $4.25 diesel, as of Thursday, and probably more today.
I don't miss the 6-10mpg Beast. My new (20 yr old) Volvo gets 20-25mpg.
260K miles and she looks and run great (I've only had her a week)
