Thanks for your replies but it wasn't really what I was looking for.
I did say in my post that the pup was DEVELOPING very nice in SchH. A big difference to actually working the pup in the sport...........
Maybe I should have been clearer in what I was trying to say.
Basically I see that the pup has localised pain around his top hip area as the fur stands up when he runs around chasing a ball or tug. He tends to not sit all the way down and because of the roundness his croup tucks under somewhat.
As I said before this is not my pup so I can't do anything about it. What I am wondering is whether anyone else has seen this or whether the breeding carries this trait.

Cheers Delta,
Without close scrutiny by expert far better qualified than me, I also thought from start that this was problem of (faulty?) genetic evolution/construction rather than being related perse to any bad hip scores.(but then, what do I know!)
If as chronic as you say, I wonder if it's really worthwhile to invest that more SchH energy - sad, of course. Even sadder, if so, it may be best too if it were removed from gene-pool altogether.
Have friend do x-rays of hind hand, and particularly of croup region, and ask his opinion?
