Agreed, so glad you were able to get your emaciated pup back!!

Why was he so mistreated (if you are at liberty to say)?

I don't know.  No reason was given.  This person wasn't unfamiliar with GSDs/GSD puppies. I met her previous GSD and saw pics of him as a baby dog, and he was in fine shape.

Here he is just a couple of days ago :)  Look at the improvement in his feet!

His name, by the way, is Marcato's Fire Inside "Moto"  We completely renamed him...I even paid to change his registered name.  Couldn't stand to keep what they had chosen.

Amazing difference what proper nutrition and some exercise makes.   He looks like a different dog!

Shame on the person who mistreated him.

Great improvement on his feet! Happy boy Moto, look at that focus!

Xeph, Thumbs Up on Ouzo's feet...tightening up nicely, and he is continuing to mature handsomely as well.

I am gobsmacked at condition the newly re-christened Moto was in when you got him back...especially when he picks up nearly 20 pounds in less than a month once he's back in your care, so clearly there's nothing metabolically amiss [unless one considers it to be a metabolic insufficiency that this pup, like all other dogs, is unable to extract nutrition from air].  It would be well worth the assault charge it would bring me if I could hit the person who did that to him, just once...I just really can't wrap my head around the mindset of someone who can neglect an animal, and it's one of the few things that can push me toward laying hands on someone in anger.

Moto is put together nicely, and again I have to comment on the decidedly masculine head, since that is something that's been a weak area in the American lines for so long. Lovely, tight, well-arched feet on him as well, now that he's being properly cared for again--I know you were careful about placements to begin with, so I can imagine your scrutiny of future suitors for Moto's affections and company will be far beyond National Security Clearance levels.

And I hope bad things befall the person/persons who allowed him to become emaciated in their hands. May they never have a happy moment for the rest of their days.

Moto Moto (as I like to call him) will be living an hour and a half away with good friends of the stud dog owner.  They owned one of her dogs previously and took great care of her.  They already came by to meet Moto and absolutely love him.

He'll be leaving some time in March :)

Xeph, I'm glad to hear Moto's situation is on lock like that. Teeth Smile

[But I still hope bad things befall who had him before, because they deserve to be punished by the universe.]

Sorry it isn't clearer...video still of Mikasa gaiting yesterday in the ring :)

And this is where those beautiful heads are coming from

Xeph, is the sire German and American? Or what's his ped?
