Madox's owner co-owned her with the breeder, Herbert Darming. In fact, working-dog.eu still shows her co-owned by him in the comments. Pic in her profile is him, too. I don't know that breeder, but I know who you mean. It's an interesting program.

Allow me to add my 2 cents' worth: Madox IS a handsome dog. He certainly appears to be a dog that anyone should be proud to have in their breeding program.

"Cos I did it".
So I dont like SL and you don't like it either, but I dont have to be on eggshells about it.
On your own thread no you don't on anothers YES you do. No matter whose thread you do have to be polite and thoughtful.

Being "polite and thoughtful" can be over rated imo~ I'd prefer members speak their minds freely on these threads I want to hear everyone's 2cents ,,,,
sooo~ speaking my mind freely, I'd say this male has quite the Handsome head indeed !

You want to "hear everyone´s 2 cent", but you don´t want to participate - that´s weird.
I call it voyeurism.

Hund by her own admission states in a few posts up that she does not like showline..but on the xeph thread its all praises for ASL pics.
An almost indistinguishable line between duplicity and good manners.
Koots said it just fine so read it a couple of times if needed for it to sink in.

Mith - can you not understand that we can admire good photos which highlight a few well-loved and care-for dogs? Can you not appreciate art that is not your 'style' but is still beautiful? And try not to twist every thread into something about you or what you like/dislike in the GSD world - it really is tiring.
Oh, and to add something on topic - I like your new dog's structure and genes. I'm sure you can match him up well with his rather 'open' ped. Good luck with him - are you going to trial him for fun?

Yeah, I get it. This dog is mainly going to be producing puppies, so some on here care only that they are pretty. I get that. Some don't care about the work. Pedigree, check. Looks pretty, check....good to go. This is why GSDs are being phased out of military and police work at a rapid rate. Do you see Malinois people doing this? Nope. They love their "ugly little brown dogs" because they work beautifully.
Dont get me wrong. There are still reputable breeders out there. They realize they don't have what they want in their program, so they ship them off to someone that doesn't discern between worthy and unworthy of breed standards. Happens all the time. Usually these people don't look to take the highest amount of money, but the best pet home. And I give them props.
