gsdstudent:  Since for some reason you choose to use a "pen-name", I don't know who you might be but I wish you well in your quest for the Holy Grail of German Shepherd Dog. However, please don't infer, imply of even believe that you are the only one on this board who promotes,  breeds or has bred to the world standard. Some of us might have been doing that very thing when you became or even before you became such a dedicated student of the breed. Some of us just might have bred, trained, and titled our own dogs to Schutzhund, PD, and IPO titles 25 or more years ago . Some of us might have bred, titled and trained a few dogs to earn V ratings in conformation. One of us bred, titled and trained the first male in this country to earn a V in an SV breed shows in the United States.  Some of us may have actually organized, sponsored and help pay for the first SV Sanctioned Breed Show in this Country (actually a USCA event in 1987) . Some of us may have organized, sponsored and help pay for the first GSDCA-WDA Sieger Show in this country in 1997. Continue your pilgrimage my friend because I too am devoted to the breed.

Hi richard; I do not worry or concern myself with the entrenched, they ''do what they do''. i believe this is a forum to educate the beginner. More national clubs is not the answer. Doing right by the breed is.

Oh anonymous one: I really don't want to get into a diatribe here with someone who refuses to actually identify themselves for whatever reason that might be. However since you brought up your opinion about more national clubs not being the answer which ones do you think should go.  The GSDCA was the original breed club in this country and sometime 60 years or so later the United Schutzhund Clubs of America came on the scene and about 6 or 7 years still later the WDA arrived. Are you saying that we need to get rid of those "Johnny Come Lately Clubs." And since you don't concern yourself with the entrenched, which of the old timers entrenched in GSDCA, USCA or WDA do you not concern yourself with since assuming your divinely inspired mission to educate the newcomers to the breed. Some of those "entrenched" individuals probably taught you everything you think you know and they likely had every thought about the breed that you have had but they probably had it 10-20 or 30 years before you became so enlightened and inspired.  Someone far wiser than you or I once said (and I paraphrase): Anyone who thinks themselves extremely right usually comes to realize they were extremely wrong.

I am sorry you are so bitter with other folks. Maybe you will spare us more of your hatred, negativity and narcissistic drivel.

Thumbs Up

Richard; i stay anonymous for my reasons. Bitter? really? I keep telling people to get involved and evolve. I support organized dog sport and clubs. negative? reread many of my posts. I poke blitz now and then but she makes it easy. Anyway, I take your challange and ask you, who cares about any master's student besides the master? You ask in a round about way who my master is and it is the SV. If their breed guide lines were followed here, and in Germany, and in the rest of the world, the breed would prosper. The GSDCa was told to follow those rules about 8 years ago and if hips are now on the ''parent'' clubs agenda, praise be!

gsdstudent: Keep hiding your identity if you feel so threatened that you believe you need to do so.  God knows that some who preach their party's purest line suffer from a spineless fear and  promise of persecution even from their piers and those they think they are actually supporting.  Fortunately, I have never had to deal with that kind of situation or threat. I have never let club leaders or any of their other spineless puppets threaten my existence. Cowardice must be very uncomfortable and must weigh heavily on those lilly-livered  folks when they lay their heads on the pillow each night.  If you are so weak that you can't support your life and your issues, some bonehead who you thought was your friend will make you look like a buffoon if for no other reason  than  to make himself/herself seem worth more than a copper penny.

Best of luck in the future and keep surrounding yourself with your like minded "friends" who would put you on the crucifix in a heartbeat.  Cowards are like birds. If they are "of the feather they will hang together" until the biggest bird feels threatened and then he will hang your diminutive ass out in the wind. Preach your gospel, whatever it is, but cover your ass because those you think you are promoting will be very ones that put your ass on the cross.

Richard; I hold my head up high when i go to the many different GSD venues I have enjoyed over the years. I never try to sell anything here on this chat room except a perspective of making the GSD breed better. I will let you know who I am when i come here to sell something or run for president of one of the national organizations. So , maybe you can elaborate why 3 SS would be a benefit to the breed? . Please educate my ignorant self. I again applaud the ''parent '' club for their work into hip and elbow certification.

Yo there student; in answer to your query about how 3 Sieger shows will benefit the breed, let me say that any increase in activity to highlight the beauty, anatomy and abilities of our beloved offers significant values for our breed future. The more shows, trials, matches and breed surveys we can have for all the world to see the better the future will be for our wonderfull dogs in this country.

3 Siegers shows may not always exist but I feel confident that we will have two for some time to come.  Which two that will be is surely subject to highly speculative conjecture but most assuredly to exist , those surviving Shows, whichever they will be, will have to have affilations with the WUSV.  I suspect that a club without WUSV affiliation and credentials has a very dim future.
