Also, his fur was cut down a bit a month or two ago as he overheats very easily. He's my little polar bear!

I miss the growing nodes, in a German Shepherd they should be way thicker at 3 months of age, so I guess this pretty little pup won´t grow into the size of a German Shepherd - but I might be wrong...?

Looks just like Jonathan XI, the mascot for the UCONN HUSKIES!
This is a picture of his littermate.

I'm guessing Samoyed. He looks a lot like my bitch did at that age.

Definitely Samoyed.

MerGoat, not fair--coat trimming, especially on 12 week old pup, most definitely interferes when trying to play a round of "Guess the Breed!" We need to know that sort of thing if we're going to play, and I always play to win!
Seriously, though. Ears seem too tall and too narrow for a Samoyed, from my experience with the breed, plus the shape and set of them isn't typical Samoyed, either. The expression just doesn't shout 'Sammie' to me...that 'Sammie Smile' is very distinct, a combination of eye shape and placement, muzzle length and breadth and fullness of the cheeks, and while this pup has a happy, welcoming smile, too, it just doesn't strike me as being the Samoyed expression.
Tail doesn't suggest it's got any curl to it, or ever will, and looks too long for a Sammie's tail. On the long side for a Sibe, too, though with the lighter bone it could be a working-line Siberian and I've seen some long tails on those in my time.
Tried to gauge an approximate size for the pup against the door-mount ironing board that's in two of the shots, but that's a sketchy bit of calculation that is as likely to be wildly off as it is to be anywhere near the pup's actual size. He does look to be finer-boned than is typical of GSDs, but he may just be from a line of lighter-framed dogs, too. Hard to say, without having any clue as to height and weight right now. I'm pretty sure that this pup is already too big to be an American Eskimo Dog.
All that said, I most certainly might be wrong, and this may be a Sammie after all, or a Sibe, and I've been fooled.
And then I will cry.
[not really...]
