Hmm, depends what size it grows up to be - but the first bit I saw was the
area of the face in the first pic (not fully loaded) which equals exactly that area we can't see
on pic 2 ['cos its under the chair arm], and my first thought = dachshund.
My 2nd thought was maybe redbone coonhound.

Yeah Keith, was thinking Dobie x vizsla

It could be pure Vizsla, I get almost identical looking pups when I look it up.

That depends on how much influence the dobe had on the ear size, Joan. I have seen a GSD/lab cross that you would have sworn was a black and silver GSD! Its ears were perfect GSD ears!

I say Redbone too, Vislia have a "look" and this pup doens't have it. Vislias don't look like hound pups, they are clearly pointer pups. And right now they are very popular in my area (Vislias) so i see a lot more of them then the redbone, but i have seen redbone pups at a UKC show. It's a hound of some sort.
Cute little bugger

Hundmutter does not agree with Hungarian Vizsla, How do people feel about Rhodesian Ridgeback? The nose can be red or black with them and dobes. The Vizsla Nose might always be brown. This pup almost looks to have eyeshadow. Gives it a human looking face.
Rhodesian Ridgeback Puppies below. Skull more broad?
The Redbone Coonhound do seem to have longer ears.

Southern Blackmouth Cur/rust Dobe mix. Fits with the part of the country the pup originates from.
