CrashKerry ..The AWDF does not represent all working breeds or breed organizations .. just most biting breed organizations including IPO and Mondio Ring. The AWDF is a shell organization controlled by the USCA for IPO and other biting dog sports and certainly there exists many working breeds and organization not represented. The "working" part of the AWDF is essentially IPO related and Mondio Ring. The AWDF was set up by the USCA to allow themselves access to the FCI IPO championships while denying access to the other GSD organizations as the AWDF bylaws as written by the USCA originally still deny membership in the AWDF to other GSD breed specific dog clubs. The AWDF for all intents and purposes is controlled by the USCA and as the bylaws are written is intended to represent the best interest of the USCA and it's allies not the best interest of all working dog breeds. Many livestock guardian breeds exist and they are certainly working breeds but they don't do biting sports as an example. Some would also argue that IPO is not in reality work at all since there is not perceivable benefit from the activity other than titles and trophies. By this definition a Yorkie balancing a hot dog on his nose in my living room is also a working breed. While some of what I have written may be off topic so was the preceeding infomercial for the AWDF so if the need arises to delete my post please also delete the commercial filled with propaganda for the AWDF. The AWDF has tried and tried to sell itself as the voice of the working breeds despite it's membership and dogs doing little or no real work.

@cmandela, the response you received saying "GSDCA scorebooks should be accepted at USCA, DVG, WDA and all FCI clubs abroad", says to me that VDH clubs in the USA are accepting the new "GSDCA Only" scorebook, not necessarily "All FCI clubs abroad". I would say that "All FCI clubs abroad" can include a LOT of places and titles that I'm sure were not taken into consideration by the GSDCA. For example ATIBOX is an AZG member, but an IPO title earned under a non-WUSV certified judge, at an ATIBOX trial, may be deemed insufficient when moving onto the next higher up title being held at a USCA trial, even though the WUSZ is a recognized AZG club and must recognize the titles issued by FCI judges. I personally can not accept this as an all inclusive answer, in regard to how a GSDCA scorebook would be viewed by "All FCI clubs abroad". Do those clubs "abroad" even know that the GSDCA and WDA exist? I personally do believe that USCA, DVG and WDA will accept the GSDCA scorebook, domestically, but its irresponsible for the GSDCA rep to say "all FCI clubs abroad" without knowing specifically what that entails.
Also before anyone jumps on bubbabooboo, there is an very large batch of FCI titles that qualify for breed surveys in Europe, that are unofficially, not acknowledged within the United states by USCA, GSDCA and the WDA. The herding (FCI-HWT) and Rettungshunde (RH) titles are two that I have mentioned here before and immediately come to mind.
In fact the SV rules that are distributed by the both WDA and USCA, in English on their website, exclude the Rettungshunde (RH) title and its status as a qualifying title for breed survey. I have always assumed that even though they attempt to exclude its mention, they can not officially remove it from the rules because they are bound to follow the rules of the WUSV, which does include the title, per the VDH.
But back on topic, so now three organizations in the USA are offering the SV "a" Stamp Hip and "ED" Elbow with differing submission requirements:
WDA: http://www.gsdca-wda.org/asp/services/hip.aspx
USCA: http://www.germanshepherddog.com/members/programs/hip-elbow/

take a look at what is a disqualifing fault in the AKC game. 5 or 6 things, very important things like; dog's whose nose is not black, dog who trys to bite the judge; White dogs.and a few other things. Please read what the parent clubs considers ''bottom line''. Really read the standard. Requiring hips be xrayed is a huge up grade by this national organization.

hey, thumbs down! why? you don't like hips being x rayed? All of my white nosed, liver colored, judge biting dogs, have OFA excellant hips.

I'll agree with your posts if you ever have anything to say that's not a smart ass remark intended to belittle.

gsdstudent: I prefer to not be a whiner or a blind-eyed club homer for any organization so I am really happy to see another club in this country actually move toward acceptance of the International Shows. I think it is wonderful that there are now 3 shows in this country to highlight the clear advantages offered by dogs bred to the world standard. I also think it is appropriate that "the parent club for the German Shepherd Dog" in this country is stepping up to the plate under the leadership of Frank Fasano, Morton Goldfarb and Helen Gleason to name a few. I see this year as being a banner year for the German Shepherd Dog in this country and I believe we will expose more people to our form of The Breed this year than ever before in this country history. If we do that, it might not be too long when most if not all the folks want what we have; dogs with good hips and elbows, dogs with great temperaments, dogs that aren't gunshy, dogs that have and can prove their working ability. So why whine when you can actually get involved and try to make a difference. There are two great shows being held in October. If you can't get to both of them at least support one.

If my whineing causes someone to read the GSD standard and grow I will keep on whinning. If my smarta-- statement helps a beginner to understand what ''no disqualifing faults really means, i'll keep it up. I will continue to raise my dogs to pass a koerung. i will work locally to have an effect globally. One breed one standard!, maybe one club?
