Bubba,
Did you read the part where the WDA sent his application and fee for a scorebook back stating his pink papers were sufficient?

IPO does not belong to the GSD as a breed nor to the SV or WUSV. GunnersDad can take his GSD to a Malinois IPO event or a Rottweiler IPO club and get a title no problem under a FCI judge if he has a GSDCA-WDA scorebook but I am betting the Malinois club is not going to take any pink papers for a scorebook. The SV and the WUSV is a universe unto itself and the rest of the dog world which does IPO could give a crap about what the SV wants.

The only problem with your theory is he has what amounts to a SV scorebook and the WDA will not sell him one of theirs. So he can't go to any FCI event with a WDA scorebook because he can't get one. They won't sell him one,,,he already has a scorebook and he can only have one.

I used pink papers on my last trial.

bubba, can you please make just one post that has something of a practical solution - it is easy to pick faults.

Well I guess he is just hopeless unless he fails to tell them he has the pink papers or he tells them he is not using them as a scorebook. He needs to register his dog under the AKC which is required I believe by the AKC/FCI agreement. Every GSD in the GSDCA-WDA or the USCA (who are members of the WUSV along with the GSDCA) must be registered with the AKC if they reside in the USA. He can use his AKC registration to get his scorebook. Believe it or not there are German Shepherds without pink papers that have a GSDCA-WDA score book based only on an AKC registration. I think this is why the DVG was formed ... to get around the SV rule worship and the cheating and politics of the SV at every level. The DVG must have politics but it has to be better.

i don't think DVG has categorically rescinded on the '.. must be a member of the issuing association of the registration papers' requirement, which is in compliance with the FCI 2012 regulations for utility dogs. in the case of SV papers, i'm pretty sure you have to have a valid/current SV membership for them to count as an alternative to a recognized scorebook. otherwise, you need to produce a valid scorebook issued by a recognized FCI affiliate, such as the AWDF or DVG (where its FCI affiliation comes via the VDH). i saw the same thing happen to a guy with an import rottie last year and no scorebook/valid ADRK membership.

Whose club are you training with??
Which club are you wanting to trial with?
Are you wanting to do more than the BH? Are you planning to do the breed survey and AD too??

If you take a dog from the United States to a FCI event it must have an AKC registration. There are actually other dog breeds that are not GSD and other dog sports that are not IPO and the FCI likes to keep things tidy and use the same rules for everyone. The SV and their pink papers are not universal in IPO or in the dog world. Register your dog with the AKC, get a GSDCA-WDA scorebook, and throw the pink papers in a drawer.

I Did register my dog with AKC, the GSDCA/WDA required it. I sent all required paperwork, I have a Male German Import also, they also said I need to trial him with his Pink Papers, he has trialed in Germany for BH and IPO1 which is on his pink papers, WDA sent his scorebook app. back also and said that is his scorebook and he is registered with SV. Hips Elbo's and breed survey. I understand what you guys are saying, because this is what im hearing everywhere, no one has a answer !!!! best answer is Trial WDA and use their rules. My female has not trialed be for because I got her as a puppy, so her back page is blank.
I live in Florida, there is a DVG Trial in Feb. 15 and 16. orlando. There is a WSUV trial same weekend in Ft myres. and a GSDCA Trial march 1 and 2. Tampa, Im trying to do my female first in feb and my male in march.
