Sorry Prager but if we accept the fact that America was not created for certain people to prosper such as slaves, women and Indians, and that's just for starters, then it follows that it was created for certain people to prosper. Free of oppression? Just go back to the list I mentioned two sentences ago. How hard did a slave have to work in order to get this prosperity and freedom from oppression? If a woman worked hard did she get the right to vote?

And when I say it was created for people like me to prosper (that is, WASP males) I don't mean it was guaranteed but rather that there were no legal or cultural obstacles in place to keep people like me from prospering.

Prosperity results from Liberty. That is why we need to strive for Liberty bound together with equality. That is what founding fathers  of USA had on their mind. Any communist will talk about prosperity But US founding fathers  talk about prosperity arriving from Liberty and equality.

 As far as what did our founding fathers think of “Equality”,....Have you ever read this? 

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.

Or further in the same Bill of rights:

“… to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them …” 

 

Or

Go read Alexis de Tocqueville Democracy in America. Where he discusses exactly this issue. You can not have liberty without equality and vice versa.

To say the founding fathers believed in equality but they were hypocrites who didn't practice what they preached, would be more accurate. So, we just set free gays and transgender folks, yay we finally have liberty. Get real Hans, saying the founding fathers believed in equality as long as you were white and male would be even more accurate. Your point here is asinine given our history of discrimination.
