The length of upper arm, and the layback of the scapula, and the way they move in relation to each other allows the dog to have a greater stride effortless and covering vast amounts of ground. An open shoulder basically is the scapula opening up in a proper shoulder assembly. The right angulation and correct length of upper arm and correct degree layback allows an open shoulder. It is late and I am on pain meds lol I waited but no one else answered and I have no clue if I did a good job of it lol. Different breeds have different standards in the layback degree they prefer.
