Ask yourself these questions:
1. What do you want from this arrangement?
2. What will this arrangement cost?
3. Do you and the other owner have a clear understanding responsibilities, and rewards?
a. Vet bills, daily up keep, grooming
b. Showing, or training for trials
c. Advertising
d. Puppy sales, stud fees
e. Exposure assoicated with the dog.
4. What is the long range plan for the dog when it becomes old?
Once you have studied these questions, Co-ownership may be good for you, or not.

Wardawg makes a very good list of provisions for you to consider. Think you should also make provision for the unthinkable, the possibility that one side of the partnership might decide they want to sell their share of the dog. A nightmare for the partner of whom the dog lives and has bonded with but very much a reality especially if the dog becomes titled and in the eyes of the partner who has not bonded with him, worth more in monetary terms.
Also decide beforehand, just in case you win any, how to share the Rossettes, Trophies, Medals, Certificates etc, this might seem a bit petty to you at the moment, but believe me I have seen and heard the resentment. Personally I would rather take the dog home than a trophy but then I would, keeping the dusting down to a minimum leaves more time to play with the dogs!!
Good Luck
