Weak nerves = the need to train for "evantualities", whereas "stable" dogs don´t even realize a problem...
It´s nice to train, I do and did it with all my dogs, breedworthy or not, but the more stable = the less problems, plain and simple.
In case you train your dogs, you should know about the difference.

This is like a riddles contest. Weak nerves will pop out when the dog is out his comfort zone? That is a matter of training. On the opposite, I can take any dog out of his comfort zone in a new situation to the point that his nerves will "Pop out" whatever that is. This is just too much talk without substance. Before you start talking what week nerves will do, you need to understand and define what are weak nerves. All I got is riddles: "weak nerves are week nerves", "car is not boat", "if yiou train you will know the difference" (LOL) "falling apart because of", ..."the stable dog will fail later, not sooner".
.....and on and on.
Define weak nerves.
As I have said the dog has weak nerves if it will not recover promptly after he startles. If you can give me a better definition, then I am all ears.

weak nerves are nerves which mainly do not allow the dog to recover and recover faster and faster after he startles from repeated specific surprise stimulus.

"recover" while the storm is going on, in some instances, just the rain hitting the roof will set the dog off as it associates rain with thunder. So no recovering from that, usually escalates with age.
Merely ' startling' from something is not nessesarily a sign of weak nerves...depends on what the dog does after startle....does he tuck tail and run (indicating weak nerves) or does the dog imediately recover and assess what caused the startle ( sound nerves).
