Vomeizenhaus I dont want a dog with much social aggression or alot of defense drive If you Think that I am much more fond of prey dogs that works and Think prey not a handler aggressive dog so I dont Think I Will ever own that type of dog I like the prey dogs more because they are easy to work with

I think what eisenhaus was referring to
was an inexperienced handler getting
'too much' dog, ergo the dog becomes
the leader of the pack and ends up
dominating the handler. It can happen
even with a mild laid back dog if the dog
is in the "right" environment to become
the 'boss'.

I have no idea what your experience
level is or isn't, hope that clarifies what
I think eisenhaus was saying.

Workingdogz Yes I know what hé means but that has nothing to dó with experience only but more If you Can or have the ability to handle a hard dog I just Said that hard Does not mean handler aggressive ,that is why I wrote that Im not looking for a handler aggressive dog. I would Call myself medium experience because I a litle between 14 years with gsd have had 3 dogs from different Lines All of Them

Well I dont Think that Will ever happen that I would a dog become a pack leader here have never tryed it though, I dó have a friend that has the problem with her male (not gsd) hé thinks hé is the Leader because she thinks it cruel to put the dog In his place this is an aussie terribel dog

Myret, it´s a bit funny you say the dogs were better in former times, more defence, prey and "old" traingmethods, yet your ideal dog is typical sportdogs with lots of prey and speed, that´s the only thing you know about them or seems to appreciate. Denmark breeders uses same studs as koos, and many more dogs that is probably better or equal, you can´t have seen much if you don´t know this. Apparently these dogs with preydrive like poodles is good enough to do very well in SCH and police world over. If you work security I don´t understand why you are so impressed with play and preydrive, this is not the only thing to bother about.

I´m sure you haven´t seen every trainer in france or germany to know how they train, and why this should make any difference, old traingmethods would probably not bring you any sucess with a strong dog anyway. French ring is just a sport with different focus than  SCH, I´m not so impressed with some of the high scoring ring3 dogs, to say they are better for service  or better in general I doubt very much, that they could do SCH just as good as the best GSDs is nothing I´m convinced about after seeing some of these ring 3 dogs that looks nothing out of the ordinary.

Vomeisenhauz I Think you are missing the point I am not looking for a handler aggressive dog , a hard dog that Can handle corrections Does not need to be aggressive towards the handler, but still maintain drive so Im not looking for a Max Vom Tiekeehook dog

Since when is Max VAN TIEKERHOOK known as handler aggressive?!
