2PETER 3:9Acts
2 Peter 3:9 and 1 Timothy 2:4), God declares that he “WANTS all men to be saved” and “everyone to come to repentance,” while “NOT wanting anyone to perish.”

And whoever wishes let him take the free gift of the water of life” (Rev. 22:17) and whoever believes in him shall not perish (John 3:16) But in view of the secret, decretive will of God,which is obviously selective when it comes to salvationeven many Calvinists have difficulty with this free offer of the gospel. Thus they must appeal to the TWO levels of God’s will

The problem here is that if God is free to transcend the laws of logic (i.e., to go against his own nature) in this one area how can we trust anything he says about anything else? What is left of Titus 1:2, which says that God “cannot lie” Or of Paul’s declaration in Romans 3:4, “Rather, let God be found true, though every man be found a liar, as it is written, ‘That You may be justified in Your words, and prevail when You are judged’

While the Bible teaches the depravity of the human race, it nowhere teaches total inability. The Bible never hints that people are lost because they have no ability to come to Christ. The language of Jesus wasYe will not come to me, that ye might have life (John 5:40).

Notice it is not a matter of whether or not you can come to Christ it is a matter of whether or not you will come to Christ.

Jesus looked over Jerusalem and wept and said, O Jerusalem, Jerusalem how often would I have gathered thy children togethereven as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings and ye would not (Matt. 23:37Here again notice He did not say, How often would I have gathered you togetherbut you could not. No. He said, Ye would not It was not a matter of whether they could it was a matter of whether they would.

First of all it is obvious that you copied and pasted all that is written in your two above posts~> from one of your Calvinistic hating websites no doubt < lol

Why can't you use your own words to communicate?

The "any" and the "everyone" are His people. Hence any of His people and all of His people~

I know of no Calvinists that has a problem with the free offer of the Gospel~   All that accept the Gospel are God's people ~it's pretty simple :))

The Bible absolutely teaches total inability ~ "dead" is pretty inept ~ just sayin~

Jerusalem (Jews) were Gods chosen ! Bingo! The Jews, back in the day,  even in their unbelief were still Gods chosen. Obviously with the ushering in of Christ/ New Testament/ etc,, those chosen come from ALL races. However, God still has set aside His chosen. This has NOT changed~

All that accept the Gospel are God's people ~it's pretty simple :))

But it is not as simple as you portray, thats what I;ve always wanted to debate about,
but for some reason You wont.

You say God predestand some to hell before they are born, in other words never was given a chance of salvation.
Thats what you keep running away from. You ran away many times Deana, will you now stand your GROUND.

It's exactly as simple as I say ~ you are the one that complicates it ! And you must to justify the rest of your theology.

Gouda there are two types of people~ those who belong to God and those who don't ~ Those who do not belong to God will perish.

Does the Potter and the Clay ring a bell ? hello,,,,

All men are drawn to Christ but not all men will trust Christ as Saviour. Every man will make his own decision to trust Christ or to reject Him. The Bible makes it clear that all men have light. John 1:9 says, That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world." Romans 1:19,20 indicates that every sinner has been called through the creation about him. And Romans 2:11-16 indicates that sinners are called through their conscience, even when they have not heard the Word of God.
