Correct, mtndawg; there is sort of a bitter irony in the fact that the red states generally receive more federal funding than they contibute while the blue states generally contibute more than they receive. Facts and numbers are such a bitch that way.

Blitzen, congress has not been controlled by the GOP since 2 years before Bush presidency was over.
Obama enjoyed a Dem controlled house and senate for the first 2 year of his presidency.
These last 2 years, the GOP narrowly controlls the senate and the Dem's controls the hosue.

Dems control the Senate.

Which is essentially meaningless unless they have a fillibuster-proof majority...which they did have...for, if memory serves, 24 business days.
Speaking of fillibusters, the Republicans in the Senate just blocked a vote on a bill that would help veterans find work as police officers and firefighters. Real fine group of folks you're supporting...

Not changing the subject but that just rubs me the wrong way.

Obama isn't any friend of the military....ever hear of sequestration which will cut half a trillion from DOD? Yes, republicans agreed to it, but only because Obama was willing to let our country default (there was a deal with Boehner with both tax increases & budget cuts but Obama wanted more & threw a tantrum when Boehner wouldn't cave) & as usual Obama caused such an uproar (enabled by his friends in the MSM) that the public was demanding a deal no matter what. Again, Obama is no friend of the military--he wants us militarily weaker & leading from behind. Republicans are pro-military & always have been. But they realize we are sinking fast & throwing money away on effectual stupid ideas thought up by some malignant narcissist to gain votes is stupid. Actions throughout our country's history show that republicans are much more pro-military than the liberals. This is what Tom Colburn says:
Republicans described the proposal as a political ploy of no practical value. “If, in fact, we want to help veterans get jobs, there are lots of ways to do it,” Coburn said on the floor before the vote. “We need to make sure the job training programs we have are working, and they’re not.”
Obama is nothing but a Hollywood figment of your imagination... He isn't a reformer--he's a lazy, uninspiring, power-hungry, looser & he has led our country down the wrong path. Watch him, he's very much an actor...not a President. Yes, I am TOTALLY against Obama, & yes, it is because of who he is (he's a socialist) & what he's doing to our country. Who ever thought a main democrat platform would be killing unborn babies & paying for Sandra Fluke's birth control? It's shameful...
ps: As far as cutting the military because Obama has healed the world, he better take a look at the Middle East--it's exploding! Guess, simply killing Osama wasn't the simple easy answer... Obama likes simple, he's much tooooo busy fundraising with JZ & Beyonce for any complex thinking.

Jobs? ya gotta have jobs to get jobs, where will these jobs be coming from.
Yeah we're all in it together, so lets keep it real when it comes to who's at fault.
You think Romneys any better than Obama, please.
