Hillbilly?

"If evolution is true then tell all of your christians friends about they need to stop wasting time on Jesus Christ."
Shital,
Evolution is true, it's proven and there isn't anything you can say otherwise that will change this. You can dig up all the bull shit you want in an attempt to deceive people, but at the end of the day it's still bull shit. If this is the path in life you choose to follow, all the power to you.
Why would anyone run and tell Christian's they are wasting their time on Jesus? We are all adults capable of reaching our own conclusions and it's not your place or anyone else's to decide what is the correct conclusion.

Felloffher, did you even read what you posted above ? That's sound contradictory to me. Just saying.
Moons, Beetree is most likely referring to me, she gets disgruntled wheneva and whereva I post. I've been doing a great job keeping my cognitive ability at a low just to keep her sane since she threatened to shoot me on a previous thread because I trespassed. lol

Travels, I agree with you. I don't know any solid 100% athiests but I do know a lot of people who share the beliefs I do about God and the Bible. And when I am involved in any business and I see that fish sign or I see a scripture on an ad or anything that suggests to me they are of the Christian faith I avoid them and 99% of the time will have no dealings with them. Why? Because I end up with the short end of the stick every time--in other words screwed. Now this is just my experience but I feel as if somehow the way they believe makes them above the law. And I know it's not just me cause some of my associates have told me like stories.
And Bee I do feel that many of the more deranged people in our society have been driven there by religion. Like Andrea Yates for an example. She said she killed her kids because God told her to. And I know there are many more but not a one I can just name right now. I personally knew a mental person once who believed she was Mary Magdalene--she could be fine the one minute and the next minute in the name of Jesus she would jump on you. She got this glazed look in her eyes and it was on.
I have had way more people help me that didn't claim to be Christians then those who did. When I first came back here me and my cousin's wife were riding around and she got to talking about this lady who had been a Sunday school teacher and in charge of the Girl's Auxillary and I just loved her. I was surprised she was still alive so Vickie said let's go by there. We did and she was outside messing around in her flower garden. We spoke and the first thing she asked me was where was I going to church now and was my soul in good with the Lord. I told her well I believe in a different way now. And that was the end of the conversation. Saw her in the grocery store after that and spoke to her and she acted like she was embaressed to speak to me. OK that's fine now I know which way this is going.
So that is 2 cents worth for today.....................

Voniisk, I don't doubt the psychotic episodes, like Andrea Yates suffered are in a different category. Sorry, I thought I made that clear. Someone like her, who was hearing voices, whether the voices are driven by God, the Son of Sam or Beelzebub is suffering auditory hallucinations. I'm talking about your run of the mill petty thief and crook type, even chronic violent offenders, various other murderers, you know bad guys, but not insane guys that are caught and locked up creating our prison populations.
I really was answering to GSDTravels or to her challenge (to Shtal specifically) about "morality" and how it pertains to the prison population. That was the only area of this thread so far that peaked my interest. I think defining how we reach a sense of morality would be key to a better society especially if you want to leave the "road maps" behind.
Edited... I just saw where you came back Travels....
I hope you understand I said using Aethiest vs. Believer is the WRONG way to think as to why a prison population exists when we talk about the breakdown of a supposed "morality" that was broken, tried and punished. That was my whole premise to this whole offshoot. So, if you look at what the prison population actually does have most in common with their "why" they are where they are, it makes much more sense.
There are brain scans to prove it, too.

Baby Eagle,
If Shital or people like him choose to beleive what they believe, it's all good. I draw the line when people like Shital are willing to blindly ignore the facts and publicly pass bullshit off as the truth. Not only that, he takes it one step further and condems us for not sharing his beliefs. I don't mind if I condradict myself on this one.

BE, please explain what you found contradictory in Felloffher's post. Evolution is a fact, the evidence is there and those who choose to ignore, deny and/or twist it are fooling themselves. There is NO evidence for supporting creation, other than words in a book of questionable history and authorship, and that is not evidence. If there are those who choose to follow the Bible and their faith, they are free to do so, but to expect that they can foist it on everyone else is ludicrous at best. To suppose for one minute that faith in a holy book should be taught in schools goes against the constitutional rights of all involved. Facts are presented in schools, not opinions. Each is free to follow their religion, that's why there are Churches, that's where dogma belongs and you are free to join one of your choosing.
There are Christians who fully accept evolution and it does not turn them against their faith and it is not for Shtal to tell them they are wrong. That is their prerogative, just as Shtal's is his. When faith is brought into any conversation, each should follow their own path and none should be forcing others into their way of seeing things. Shtal is ramming his beliefs down everybody's throats and what we're doing is pushing back. He thinks he can use the Bible to bully everyone into complying with his beliefs and that's not the way it works. If he doesn't want opposing opinion, he should keep his to himself. Nothing contradictory about it.

Good post Travels, I especially agree about the pushing part.
Bee I wasn't disagreeing, or arguing, I was sharing some thoughts.................Maybe I misunderstood something. You know I'm good at that.
Must be my pagan thoughts coming out. LOL............
