That sentence is quite confusing to me. I am sure I don't agree with any of it.

Yes, I'm sure it is.  This isn't the first time I've witnessed simple logic escape you.

Home school.  That is the answer to this mess.

No, it shouldn't be another viewpoint, this is law.  Viewpoints beong in the realm of one's personal life.  Why is that so hard to understand?    Common laws deal with facts and that what we adhere to when it come to passing law.

Travels, simply because laws are not static, they change depending on the view of the people. It is circular, really.  People define the laws, and laws that people create, are changeable. That's why we have all these politicians. It would be great if we could find the one answer to every single question and be done with it for eternity. Almost as good as the idea of buying the perfect appliance for your lifetime. It always works, never breaks, upgrades itself, a true, One-Time-Purchase.

Travels, if you can't hold a polite conversation, just say so. I have no problem with sound logic. If your statement that I highlighted and you left out was truly merited in its claims, you would have pasted it along with the remark you used, to make a snide remark about my ability to use logic.

No beetree, the laws are clear in this instance, they do not morph.  The law has not changed since the founding of this country, try as they may to make it so.  The only reason it was "allowed" before was simply because nobody complained yet (brought suit).  And the reason for that, most likely?  Look at how in this day and age, asking Christians to abide by those very laws is seen by Christians as trampling on their religious freedom.  We don't have relegion police running around enforcing the law.  The law is in place to ensure that rights are protected and as soon as someone other  than a Christian's rights are protected, it's the Christians crying foul!

As to the second post, I will paraphrase each part to make it perfectly clear, okay?

Why would your God abandon children as punishment for the school obeying common law?  Do you really want to go here beetree?   You want to talk morality?

That sentence is quite confusing to me. I am sure I don't agree with any of it.

The entire gist of the T-shirt posted with the bumper sticker comment is stating exactly that, what's so hard to understand?  Since prayer was removed from the public schools, by the Supreme Court, in accordance with common laws, God withheld his protection of those twenty innocent children.  And since God is omnipotent and omnipresent, he knew what would happen and he not only allowed it, but condoned it, to punish the children for the common laws not abiding by the Bible. Yes beetree, that is the implication in that slogan.  Now please explain to me how I'm the one that's twisting it.

Almost all of the Founding Fathers of the American Republic were either Deists or Christians.  God was included somehow in all their documents and all meetings had prayer to the Almighty.  But when they drafted the Constitution they did not want any situation like in England to evolve where there was a State Church system which was filled with corruption and used as a tool of state oppression.  They never wanted God or acknowledgement of Him removed from Govt. but plastered his name everywhere on all the USG buildings and NONE denied the Ten Commandments as a foundation of Govt.  In fact they included all over DC.  Just take a trip to DC and examine all the USG Buildings, even the Supreme Court has such engravings.

The Founding Fathers wanted everyone to be free to worship as they wished but did not want Govt used to take God and acknowledgement of him out of Congress the courts or anywhere else.  Thus all oaths to the Constitution required for service in public office had to be taken on a Bible. Only recently offshore enemies who hijacked the USG have taken over the school system through federal dept of education and put in place political correctness which is really a communist underpinning. It is a HUGE MYTH that our Founding Fathers and the Constitution require separation of church and state as now interpreted by the ACLU the source of all this communist political correctness, diversity/perversity pushing. If you want more info read the numerous quotes of the Founding Fathers and historians.  Most folks nowadays are remarkably uninformed about true American History and the importance of the Founding Fathers  belief in God Almighty and prayers and trust in Him when fighting the British tyranny and building the Republic. Most of the truth has been excised from the history books by Globalist hijackers who hate America and want to destroy it after they asset strip it completely.

Take a look at the recent quotations of Ben Stein,  quite a famous man and deservedly so, who is Jewish but agrees 100% with my statements here.  He wants the right to worship Almighty God allowed in the schools and everywhere and acknowledges that America was set up as a Republic based on the Ten Commandments and a basic belief in God Almighty whether Deist, Christian or Torah Jew.  The enemies that have hijacked our great Republic are enemies within the gates and are working hard to destroy our language, borders and culture which is the essence of America. Technically, Ninja is correct but his claims must be clarified as I have done so above.

As far as peddling religions at our schools, be it with a bible or a poppy, that is of course a no-brainer. Just like we wouldn't let the fuller brush salesman come knocking on our children's places of learning, the public schools are funded by us all, are not to be used for teaching family values, nor a families' take on religion. Various after school programs are scheduled that do that to accommodate most families.

So again, why does this have to be a watershed moment? It is a just a human moment if you want to strip it down to the bare bones. Do you intend and want to deny "our"  humanness with your assertions as to what is an appropriate form of humanness,  how it must be acknowledged? Or even, its opposite, how it must be denied?

Bullshit Preston.  The founding fathers knew how religion creeps into every aspect of common life.  They didn't want that to happen here.  They were some Christinas, some Deists and some downright Atheists, but their religious convictions were held away from any governement involvement.   There is no mention of God in the Constitution other than the establishment clause.  Any freedom of religion must include freedom from religion or it wouldn't pass muster.  There shoeof co no foce of conscience in any direction and as long as you do not violate the rights of others, you are free to live your life according to your own dictates and morals, period.  The laws are not based on the Ten Commandments., they are based on common law.  If they were base on the Ten Commandments, we would have been incorporated as a theocracy, exactly the opposite of the intent.

by beetree on 29 December 2012 - 21:12

Travels... please, laws change all the time. Or women would not be voting, and our president would never be Barack Obama.

And your opinion is what you stated, nothing more.... has nothing to do with a logical approach. I think you totally misconstrued everything and are doing what you accuse, grinding that square peg into the round hole. Your whole authority is based on you knowing the mind of God. And frankly, the discussion ends right there unless you can stand me laughing directly back at you, to your face.

I agree, God should be allowed back in schools and once again his invisible shield of protection will prevent atrocities like this from happening again. The rest of the world is living proof to this testament.
