Slamdunc, I agree with the last points, however I do not agree on the first one, if Israel agreed to two states long back, Hamas would have never been there in the 1st place.

Ibrahim, you could be right.  Personally I think the web of debt has created a huge trap that Amerika has no way out of except dissolution and folding of its remains into the NWO Globalist system run out of Brussels. Awareeness of the coming collapse is what keep Joel Skousen working hard as a consultant for wealthy super-elites and retired USG and Intel.

Amerika has been manipulated into factional dissent which will probably prevent any useful changes, only continued decline  into a nazi/stasi police state.  Here is a controversial article which displays this conflict which has been skillffully created by those who are in control behind the scenes and sit offshore, runnning the int'l merchant banks run out of the "City of London" financial district, a separate country with its own ambassadors like the vatican.  http://www.thecommonsenseshow.com/2012/11/18/valerie-jarrett-there-will-be-hell-to-pay-for-obamas-critics/

There is a covert civil war in the making inside Amerika which has been set up to keep us divided and easy prey for the globalist banksters.  We will be too busy fighting over scraps and few jobs to work together and boot the offshore banksters out.  The administration and 535 in Congress are their business agents/criminals in power who do their dirty work and care nothing about "we the people". These 535 are trying hard to be part of the NWO Globalist "Club".

Preston,
Just an FYI....On the top bar, to the left of where it says "Source" about two thirds the way across the top, there are three letters "ABC" with a check mark, that is the spell check function.  It can be very useful.

by Ibrahim on 19 November 2012 - 00:11

Slamdunc, I use the feature but it doesn't always work properly, sometimes after all the spell correction the "finish" button just disappears and I be forced to make a cancel.

Two Moons

Ibrahim,
values, we are corrupted by those who came before us.
We lose or values by example.

Religious leaders, examples who by their own actions destroy or faith, members of churches who violate the most innocent, children, and are forgiven.
Leaders we trust who steal from us, lie to us.
They take our faith and innocence without remorse.

A system with more cracks in it than surface.

People with real values go un-noticed while the rest become wealthy and obtain celebrity status.

This happens in all cultures, every country, everyday.

As for the topic Strategic Relocation, there will be no place to hide.

The Middle East is on another thread.

Moons.

Slamdunc, thank you for the suggestion.  I will try it.  My keyboard sticks when cold and I really should replace it.

Moons, if things eventually break down to road warrior status as they did in Bosnia for a while, there will probably be no where to hide as you suggest.

Folks who hire Joel Skousen have plenty of money and believe that such breakdown would only be temporary until a new governance system emerges as it has in Bosnia.  Some hire him to fortify their homes and set up safe rooms which can be rather sophisticated.

There are always always geophysical threats such as tornados, hurricanes, earthquakes, floods, meteor strikes, numerous other serious natural disasters. Would safe houses provide an ultimate solution from these things? Not if they were serious enough.

What folks would learn from Katrina and now Sandy is that when the authorities deliver warnings it is best heed them and prepare or evacuate as recommended.  Do not count on FEMA to be able to respond quickly in serious disasters as they cannot. The toughest situation is always for those in nursing homes, hospitals, old folks and invalids and those who are disabled or handicapped or homeless. Obviously those who live in the highest density situations will have the most difficulty evacuating or coping if they stay put. Reasonable preparation for possible natural disasters and power failures just makes good sense.

We weren't talking about tornadoes, relocation was about collapse of society.
You can't relocate if someone is already there, you may not be welcomed, maybe the rich could buy their way in, but then again, you can't eat money and there would not be any open grocery stores.
A safe house, shelter, any kind of hide can only be temporary, not long term, and always dangerous if discovered.
Depending on what actually happens everything from that point on may only be temporary.

I'd rather do something now, than wait for temporary.

Yes Moons.  That is why farmers living in remote areas have a notable survival advantage and can live off the land if they have to the way their ancestors did. I know individuals who grew up on farms before the 1950s without any running water or electricity and a hand or windmill operated well only and outhouses, and wood or coal burning stoves only for heat.

I had a friend in HS who lived like that back in the mid 1960's.  But it is very difficult for a long term urban family to become a farm family that can survive without power and city utilities. There are urban preppers who have bought rural farms and plan to move right before the SHTF but these folks are small in number and unless they move their first and have enough money to get by without their usual jobs, things may not go down as they expect or wish when disaster or breakdown strikes.

A major  current issue is the low stockpiling of foodstuffs in the warehouses that supply grocery stores. When I was a kid, the average days in storage was 35+, now it is supposedly 3-4 days only due to very strict inventory controls used to control costs. This can pose a serious problem if supply lines become disturbed.
