Lees has it correct. I thinkl the series could rightly be called the men who stole America from the people. Without inside bankster deals, bribery of politicians, and special land requisitions these men of the ruling class could never have become "robber barons" with no souls. My choice for a real American hero, an entrepeneur of the people would be Henry Ford, who had a policy to pay his employees enough so they could afford to buy and own one of his cars. This was verboten at that time inituially as the leisure class did not think the average folks should have cars, which were very expensive and only affordable by the rich. Henry Ford developed great products, developed mass production and got the price of his product within reach, thus helping to create a middle class. Compare this to Rockefellor who resorted to bribery, short selling and hired murderers to build the Standard Oil monopoly (his motto was "competition is a sin. Our competitior is our friend, the customer is our mutual enemy). Henry Ford did it fair and square, and legally too, and was greatly loved by the people during his time.

Those who haven't seen it may want to try to catch the re-runs.

The one on Henry Ford was on after the Andrew Carnegie one. I watched some of it. Liked it better. They are almost way too cut and dried for me.
Is anybody going to go see the movie on Lincoln? I saw it advertised on History the other night. I am interested in seeing it.
There is a special also coming up on PBS about the Dust Bowl. Not 100% sure but I thought they said its coming on Sunday night. Of course I want to see that.
Right now I feel a like overeducated so I am watching Toy Story 2. LOL. Tomorrow on the Disney Channel Toy Story 3 comes on and of course I wouldn't miss it...............
