We started my 7 mo. old Carol x Gabi male pup in protection last week. He barked, bit full, carried... Tracking like a pro, EASY to learn obedience. I am a proud dog-mommy! Got calls from owners of two littermates reporting similar experiences. Yippee!
I have nine more just like 'em in the basement, just opening their eyes.
Happy happy happy!
Hope this helps your need for a training "fix." Ha ha ha

After Ari earned his BH in December, I ran out of gas money to go to the club (fifty bucks a trip). I soon got bored so decided to take him for his AKC CD just for some thing to do. Proving once again that schutzhund dogs can do it all, he earned his CD with three back to back qualifying scores..
I had Adara and Arlo ready for their BH in May but something came up. The next trial is not until September, so I am aiming them for then.
My new eleven week old girl Lara is exceptionally smart. I think she shipped here already knowing to sit for what she wants. She house trained in a day, she learned that Heir means run really fast back and sit to get good treats in three tries. She also figured out the cats very fast " Tracker will tease you to be chased, Callie will ignore you and is boring, B.C. likes to be played with but if you get too rough he will chase you down the hall way"
In the next couple of weeks I should be able to start working at the club again and polish Ari back up for his one and get the finishing touches on Adara. Wish me luck that all goes as planned.

Actually, I'm having an issue right now. My new Mal pup has a habit of takin' her front legs and grippin' tight on the leg, she didn't do this before bite work, once I got a helper and sent her to bite she picked this up somehow and it's a death grip, as hard as she bites she grips the leg also. What's up with this. I also noticed when I take her to the city for walks and I stop to talk to someone she jumps up and grips my leg and stares at the passerby. Why did she decide to do this I wonder? I can talk for 15 minutes and she just has a death grip on my leg the whole time. Strange.
