I need some advise. I have a Ghandi von Arlett granddaughter that has a very plush black and red coat. She was very fuzzy behind her ears but that is going away as she gets older. She is now 13 months and has shed her winter coat. I just had her groomed and most of that fuzzy hair is gone behind her ears. My question is: do I try showing her to get a rating? I would be happy to send a picture of her to anyone that can give me a definative answer.  I do not want to waste my time or money. I showed her at 3 months, got a high VP and was told she was a coat back then. Help!

Prasac

If you read my post again, it was directed to Thorsborgen.  It had nothing to do with your dog.  The only way I can give a comment on your dog, is to watch him work.  I am not a "looks" type of guy.  To me, your dog looks like a German Shepherd.  I was merely wondering why someone (Thonbucket) would comment and not give an explanation.  I wanted to know what type of standards the person abides by.

I normally don't post on these threads.  If I don't like a dog, that is my choice, but I never feel that I need to tell the person.  I just didn't like Thornbucket's reply to your post.

I do like your last sentence of your reply.  It is good to know that I have a "buddy" in India!

Prasac you did misunderstand Don.  His reply was to Thorsborgen and NOT about your dog.  Sometimes the language barrier makes for misunderstandings on here.  I think you owe Don an apology.

The Don isn't an enemy unless your business interferes with his. In this case Thorsborgen's crossed the don. It is generally not in his character to go to the mats with innocent bystanders.

You seem to have a happy guy. I'm sure you're proud of him.

When the don does go to the mats does he wear one of those cute tight spandex thingies?

Hi Don,

I certainly owe an apology to you. I mistook your advise to negative comments on my dog. I understand that you want me to focus on the standards of the gsd & my dog's working capability.

Thanks a bunch for clearing it.

I am sorry for the way I reacted.

I will take ur advice positively.

Thanks again.

Prashant

prasac, your dog looks like he enjoys being with you.  He looks well taken care of.  You are doing the right thing with him by doing the obedeince with him.
