Hey Ronnie--I have nearly got you beat! Davren- I feel your pain, my husband took down all my pretty, old dark cherry cabinets & put up some very well made PLYWOOD, unstained, no doors cabinets....left, however the lower cabinets which having the 'hanging by one hinge' doors, & the 'my front panel falls off spontaneously' cabinet. He also didn't like my big wall mounted stainless steel oven....came home from work one night & found the oven gone, the cabinet it was in gone, & a tiny little apartment size stove in it's place! And he was so freaking pleased with himself...when I fainted, he called my daughter to say, "Your momma just passed out with happiness!".....my daughter laughed her ass off---she KNEW why I fainted.....she called back later with condolences! Ha-ha-ha! His daughter apologizes every time I see her! If I didn't love him so much, I'd certainly whack him, HARD! So that's why my house is in a semi-permanent stage of renovation...if I let him keep going, OMG! He will undo every pretty thing I have, & replace it with the most hideous thing he can find! And yet the place really does need some serious work....If I posted a picture someone would come & condemn it, LOL! And the dogs are afraid to counter surf here, for fear of being made to wash the dishes! I have one of those 'all in one' rooms; the kitchen is open to the dining room, which is open to the livingroom, all very small, so there's no escaping a messy kitchen....YUCK! WHAT'S A GIRL TO DO? He  pays the insurance, every time I take the dogs all out, I pray for lightening! LOL! And I've been stuck in this rat's nest for 12 years now, we almost bought a big, gorgeous house with 2+ acres this past fall, got approved for the mortgage, went to withdraw the $$$ from our money market accounts for the down, & between the date we applied & the date the application was processed all that money disappeared. Needless to say, we had to back out of the purchase...truly sucked, but with the economy so dicey now, I guess I'm glad we don't have a brand new mortgage. Does the puppy do laps around the island with the cat looking down at her? My kitten just beats the crap out of Baden when he is inside. Never met a cat with a set of balls, like this one has. One day I'll get it on video, they play tag and the rocking chair is base. I can only take so much before the dog has to go. Once he is finally played out, then the cat is the aggressor. It just doesn't stop.

This is the basement kitchen my DH did for me (one of the reasons I keep him ).  We haven't started up stairs yet as that requires WAY more work.
