He gets lost, he STAYS lost!
NO BACKS! I trie taking his collar off and tying him the the dumpster at Giant Foods but he chewed the rope and found his way home.

I tried to get my husband to let me microchip him, I even offered to 'chip myself, too, using the 'When You Get Alzheimers' Disease This Will Keep You Safe' line, but he vehemently declined, darn it---so I had to settle for the cell phone with Lo-jack plant.....sigh!
All my dogs & pups are chipped, Avid is awesome, & it's really very easy, just be sure not to shoot them straight through & out the other side.....(of the skin fold, not the puppy!
)
And the size of the needles....holy cow....pity the poor junky THAT desperate!!
Jackie Harris LPN,CHPLN (23 years experience.....not RN...again, sigh...same work, less pay...!)
Oh, BTW, to avoid that registration lag, I fill the Avid paper out when I turn the puppy over to the new owner, usually when we fill out the registration transfer paper, & then I mail it myself, that way there's no delay! It's important to me that the dog is trackable during the first few weeks in his/her new home-when they might not be completely oriented to the new place--I figure that's when the highest chance of being lost is.....plus if something goes wrong, the pup is more easily traced...hopefully.

Geez---I'd be surprised if G even has Lo-jack.....you don't need it, just follow the trail of pop tops in the snow......& Carl has been known to get lost, he's doing better now....but I was ready to get Beckett out last year to track him down....he took a wrong turn & wound up in Cherryville, had to call me for directions back home.....had me worried to death! jh

I got Zach chipped, but it was done by the vet...
I was debating b/w chipping and the tatoo.
I went with the chip through HomeAgain

How does one cook a frog with Boiling water? Warm the water first, or just a hot boil?
