GSD Admin,

Why would you think I have or want something on you? I was aware you have gay family members. I am not attacking gay family members. I think everyone has a gay family member. I certainly have friends that are gay and have families. I know a few divorced gay people who remarried with their same sex and their kid is raised as a wonderful person. Why you and Hundmutter and everyone want to jump feet first on the ugly wagon just amazes me.

You guys are the one's who are freaking out about the idea that the sexes have differences! That if they have differences and there must be a purpose, is what is threatening the idea of love conquers all, is my guess. I am not asking you to deny any gays any where, of their truths about choice. Nothing like that.

Just some open conversation from all angles, is more like it.

Bee,

so did you choose to be with guys?

by beetree on 20 August 2014 - 23:08

LOL! I am not going to be the one to get personal! Nice try! Let's just say, there was a time I refused an offer and it made me consider that thought. Is that a choice by your standards?

What about anyone else? Was there a choice or did you just know?

So, you thought about it but the attraction was already made whether you know it or not.

Religion has been wrong so many times Indians, blacks, woman, witches and plenty of others. Thank goodness we have judges who are fair and have done the right thing over and over. Otherwise we would just keep repeating the same prejudices and bigotry.

All above done by man who was following the bible. Wake up people.

My first memories are of first or second grade having a crush on two girls. I just can't imagine someone thinking that someone just makes a decision at some point in their life. I mean, heck, I watched Burt and Ernie every day! I watched Mr. Rodgers and I wasn't influenced into deciding I was gay. I do change my shoes often, though! Can you fathom the thought of it being a choice? Like one day you just say, "hey, I'm gonna be gay!". I'm sorry, but most heterosexual people find it hard to find their mate and you just think someone is gonna make a choice to be gay? Like choosing between coke and Pepsi? Like I told the person I was arguing with, I don't like honeydew or cantaloupe. She does. God gave us different taste buds.

As to the evolution of gayness, that's funny. In the 50's, it was different. Nobody wanted to be out of the closet and I'm sure many led a heterosexual life. That's a choice! Over time, it has become more acceptable. NFL and other professional athletes are coming out. Not because there is a higher percentage, but because it is more accepted. Every reality show has their token gay person on it. Why? Ratings.

Saying evolution via future generations' selection method doesn't matter, is what I hear from everyone.

And where are you hearing that?  I didn't say that, I said that homosexual people are capable and many times, willing to "just have sex" with the opposite sex.  Whatever was close and willing when the urge hit is the most likely scenario.  It doesn't make a dent in the population of the animal kingdom, even in species that have monogamous homosexual pairings.  We probably changed attitudes when we discovered that sex was related to procreation, but I don't think that's what they had on their mind during any one act.  Lots of things have an impact on future generations and there are those that don't reproduce, that's evolution, but it's not necessarily tied to same-sex sex.  And funny thing is, the more sex that's shared among communities of other primates, all types of sex, including bi/sexual, male/male and female/female, the more peaceful the society.  Imagine that!  So you go ahead and keep repressing, I vote for lots of sex and peace! :)
