You know what, I was trying to give you an example of what a semi auto gun is used for, a legitimate use. And here we are. All I said was I'll shoot the little fuckers when there stealing my food, and you expand that to the "most amazing squirrel go getter in the world" . See how things get twisted and stupid ? Have a happy holiday, bee. I'm goin' squirrel hunting, there's still a couple I haven't killed yet :)

Thankfully, I haven't yet been hungry enough to want to eat a squirrel and that's the only reason I can see to kill one. I'm not against hunting as long as the meat is eaten; I do have a big problem understanding the mentality that kills animals just because they can. Why anyone wants a deer head hanging on their wall just baffles me.

Yes, Preston, this is a sad world. However, that's a diversion from the issue that parents here in this country,  like Bee and many others, are concerned about - the safety of their kids in this sick f------ society where gun owners put more value on their right to carry than they put on the lives of children.

It is Christmas Eve, I'm not really in the mood for a total assault on the NRA, including it's loyal followerz, here on the PDB. I can't help it if you brought up the damn squirrels, I just went where you led me. 

Yes, a bit of ridiculousness, but then again what the NRA said was ridiculous in the face it showed no willingness to compromise and examine what gun ownership should mean to Americans today. It is not working the way it is, so maybe we can agree to start there.

I'm probably done with this thread for the night, because we open presents on Christmas Eve.... old German tradition... at least that is what I've been brought up to believe, lol,  which will be starting shortly on the East coast.

Lasagna is all built and baking. Not a damn bit of squirrel in it.

Whats Obama going to do that he had a chance to do the last few times about Guns. Obama has to follow the constitution and as long as he follows what i swore to up hold then that will be the law of the land.

I don't like pasta, Bee. But you made it, I'll bet it's going to be very good ( even if you didn't have any squirrel to add ;) I took Chekta into the garden with me after feeding the goats (she got to make the new buck get back where he belonged, boy was he surprised that his threat went unheeded ;-) pulled up some beautiful baby turnips with greens and various radishes with greens, green onions. It's all it a pot with potatoes cooking into soup. Will then add some home cured salt and brown sugar bacon from home grown hog. smells really good :)

Ps.. No squirrel in it, they were sitting up in the hickory tree chewing on hickory nuts, minding their own business. Lol.

Oh, I forgot, I'm going to dig up some jerusalem artichokes to add when it's all cooked up. They add some crutch like water chestnuts.
