Evidence Shtal, evidence.

Shtal,

You believe the universe is less than 10,000 years old and there is no evidence that would support this. I get that you think science has interpreted the information wrong, however you will find only a handfull of  creationist that stand by this rediculous assertion.

What if the big bang was only the begining of our universe and not the begining of everything?

Felloffher,

The real Big Bang is coming soon, you better get saved through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Not so fast. If the cyclical universe hypothesis can be realized, how will creationists attempt to reconcile this with the accounts in Genisis? I beleive it will be the final nail in the coffin for Christianity, Judism and Islam.  However, it still wouldn't rule out the possibility of creator, just the man made gods we have today.

Thre are some facts that we can or have seen, one is Jesus was born and did walk the earth.  Two is-  Israel did become a nation as predicted in the Bible, three. as also predicted in the Bible is we are having more earthquakes, famines and storms. Four is the turmoil in the middle East, that is what  the Bible centers on.  Many more that I have missed that someone who knows their Bible can elaborate on.
As for the age of the earth we could argue back and forth about this until Jesus comes.  Doesn't matter in the big picture.

Maybe when Obama brings in the mandatory chip implant you will finally believe the Bible is true and Jesus is the King of Kings?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?NR=1&v=kwUzZQxzZYg&feature=endscreen

maybe??

and please do not allow it be to implanted, as then your chance for reconciliation with God, (if you ever do see the light) will be over.  And that is not a good thing.

Either way, the truth about which religion is true will be revealed soon, if my predictions are correct.  (judging by the sign of the times).  Much sooner than I'd like.

Life if too short, so I better quit thinking about this crap and get back to living it.  Every day is precious.

Hope you all have a Merry Christmas, and may the God you don't believe in bless you richly.

Night.

Felloffher,

Without being disrespectful to you in anyway, what is your take about prophecy in Bible that been fortold about Jesus Christ.

Here is the example from the link: http://www.amazingfacts.org/media-library/study-guide/e/4875/t/Is-There-Anything-Left-You-Can-Trust.aspx

What evidence for Bible inspiration emerges when we compare Old Testament prophecies of the coming Messiah with New Testament happenings in the life of Jesus?
The Bible says, "And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, He [Jesus] expounded unto them in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself." Luke 24:27. "For he [Apollos] vigorously refuted the Jews publicly, showing from the Scriptures that Jesus is the Christ." Acts 18:28, NKJV.*

Answer:   The Old Testament predictions of the Messiah to come were so specific and so clearly fulfilled by Jesus of Nazareth that both Jesus and Apollos used these prophecies to prove to the Jews that Jesus was, indeed, the Messiah. There are more than 125 of these prophecies. Let's review just 12 of them:

Prophecy Old Testament Scripture New Testament Fulfillment
1. Born in Bethlehem Micah 5:2 Matthew 2:1
2. Born of a virgin Isaiah 7:14 Matthew 1:18-23
3. Of David's lineage Jeremiah 23:5 Revelation 22:16
4. Attempted murder by Herod Jeremiah 31:15 Matthew 2:16-18
5. Betrayal by a friend Psalms 41:9 John 13:18, 19, 26
6. Sold for 30 silver coins Zechariah 11:12 Matthew 26:14-16
7. Crucified Zechariah 12:10 John 19:16-18, 37
8. Lots cast for His clothes Psalms 22:18 Matthew 27:35
9. No bones broken Psalms 34:20 Exodus 12:46 John 19:31-36
10. Buried in rich man's tomb Isaiah 53:9 Matthew 27:57-60
11. Year, day, hour of His death Daniel 9:26, 27 Exodus 12:6 Matthew 27:45-50
12. Raised the third day Hosea 6:2 Acts 10:38-40

Dr. Peter Stoner, former chairman of the departments of mathematics, astronomy, and engineering at Pasadena College California, worked with 600 students for several years applying the "principle of probability" to the prophecies of the Messiah's coming. They chose just eight from the many available and finally decided the chances of all eight being fulfilled in one man in a lifetime is one in 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000. What would the odds be on the more than 125 prophecies of the Messiah? It couldn't just happen!

RS,

It's amazing how "bible prophecy" depicting end times parallels the Roman Empire and it's collapse and yes this includes the so called "mark of the beast".  In my mind a real prophecy doesn't require interpretation, it would be a clear and undeniable event that takes place.

Merry Christmas to you as well.

Shtal,

How many of these prophecies can be historically verified without referencing the bible? For all we know the bible was written by men with an agenda to fulfill. We can't confirm Jesus was born of a virgin and who's to say he wasn't raised to believe he was the messiah and was led to fulfill prophecy? Maybe Jesus was removed from the tomb by his followers and wasn't resurrected.

Lot's of questions without concrete evidence. If faith drives you that's fine, I need a little more.
