Mindhunt, your list all occurred after gmo foods were produced...Also, jewelry store and restaurant robberies are not in the same category as these crazy mass killings, were there is no personal gain. Usually it is the opposite of personal gain as most end up self killed or cop killed. Your list is more for argument for legal carry guns.
I found the article interesting in that gmo foods have been found to cause drastic behavior changes in lab animals.
Moons, perhaps you are projecting when you say people are reverting to mass murder and suicide because of no future. This s sad. You sound depressed. Change of scenery can be up lifting.
Btw, I didn't say kids don't have pressure. I said they don't have financial pressures which would explain them going postal. You know, pressures like having house payments, car payments, med bills, credit card payments, etc. And then get fired from a job, and being already frazzled and going SNAP! Most of the kid murderers I've noticed come from affluence and don't have financial pressures....maybe pressure as perceived by the nut case who figured girls owed him a fu#k......so he "punished" them.
Yeah, robbing a jewelry store and killing people in the process is what's going on with these crazies in the "relatively new" phenomenon of no- motive- appearant mass killings. Throw enough prescription psych drugs at people and society as we know it is forever distorted.

Another thing, when people look at what is going on in this country with the attitude, "it's always been like this" , there will be no end to it because it is being accepted as the norm....that's sick. There is a cause and it is complex....starts with something like gmo corn> crazy behavior> psych drugs> more crazy behavior= mass murder. No intervention prior because the whole ducking country is in a gmo induced stupor and so people ( including " professionals") don't notice anything abnormal.

joanro,
it's not projecting or depression to see the world through the eys of our youth today.
Look around, what do you see?
Children are in combat in several parts of the world, I don't mean teenagers I mean children.
As for GMO's just add them to the list of shit gone wrong, a drop in the bucket compared to the overall big picture.
Most kids know more about the world than their parents, it's always been that way.
by joanro on 13 June 2014 - 18:06
Moons, you think the kids murdering in the US are the same as kids in combat ?
What do I see when I look around me,? Mostly trees and lots of cardinals nesting in bushes all around the house and all over the property, plus wrens feeding babies on the porch and in a nest in a pine shavings bag in the kennel...plus a Redtail Hawk nesting in tall tree just above the creek....bear crap on the terrace above the kennel...let's see....what else.....blue skies, shining above...nothing but but blue skies do I see.......
Moons, life can suck if you want...or you can focus on the nice things around you.
Btw, children have been made to fight in wars since forever....life goes on. But this shit with American kids committing mass murders is aberrant, psych drug induced insanity that could be stopped if big pharma wasn't in charge.

According to what I learned this year in a local school system, several parents took their children off the ADHD meds because of worse problems at home, and the school had a meeting with them and drs and it was mandatory they put the kids back on the meds..It was told, that the school receives special dollars from the federal government if they have X number of students on ADHD meds...taking them off of the meds , requires the state to report and they loose DOLLARS????anyone privey to that in Texas..NOT sure about other states...just here.?
Along with the number of the kids we now see with no parents from foreign countries , that know they are in stress , with living conditions I would not put my dog in, and raised in worse conditions back in the third world countries they just fled, not even mentioning the lose of moral codes in our homes today, and the food digested on tables now, what else can we expect to happen..Teachers are now faced with bigger problems of disciplinary situations they know not how to handle. Last week , a doctors office in Longview , TX demanded their office workers, and nurses take a course at local college to learn Spanish in order to keep their jobs. I thought when you became an American citizen you had to have control of the English language.
I see more and more discipline problems that are full of mental tags now more than ever before.
Drugs used by parents before a pregnancy have vast affect on the nerve systems of these children that are now entering the 6th , 7th, and 8th grades now more than usual.
Add GMO's and the rest in a pile...glad I am not a teacher today. God bless them and the drs that have to decide how to address this..

YellowRose, don't get me started on the overmedication of our children. I see ADHD and ADD so over diagnosed I want to scream. I remember several cases where the child was brought in by parents because "something is wrong and I want you to fix him/her" (mostly boys). Several of the children did pop for ADD or ADHD on the assessments but if one took the time to actually talk to them, which we did, you could see something was going on at home or in school. One boy was watching his parents go through a messy divorce, another was dealing with potential homelessness, another was fed at school only and over the weekend he ate crackers, one girl was being bullied and sexually molested, the list goes on. School systems are allowed to mandate medication or no schooling. There are children who do suffer with ADD or ADHD and short term medication with behavior modification are so helpful. Then get them off the meds.
The other pathologizing that occurs is for women. Women are over pathologized at 10 to 1 when compared to men. Women are deemed weaker and more susceptible to addictions, especially pain killers. Women who act other than the stereotype are pathologized. After all, the earliest overpathologizing started when unhappy women were deemed hysterical. Earliest hysteria theories included wandering uterus that needed to be "grounded" by becoming pregnant and the more times a woman was pregnant, the less time her uterus could wander and cause all kinds of misbehaviors. Hysteria was reason enough to institutionalize the woman. A woman could be deemed a hysteric for anxiety, PMS, post partum depression, disobedience, not wanting to marry the man chosen for her or even if she never wanted to marry, and the list goes on. Women were not allowed to make any decisions regarding their bodies or mental health, in fact many times the husband or father was told the diagnosis and given total control over treatment. Vibrators were designed in Victorian times to help doctors masturbate women who were diagnosed with hysteria which is interesting due to the idea a good woman hated sex and any form of intimacy. In fact if a woman enjoyed intimacy in her marriage, she was considered "mentally unhealthy" and could end up institutionalized.
There is a bill being debated that would require ANYONE with a Axis I or Axis II diagnoses to be mandated to take psychotropics "for the protection of future generations". The belief that because psychotropics alter DNA, years of use should alter DNA in the direction of future generations not having mental health diagnoses, it would protect future generations from "suffering what could now be preventable mental diseases". This whole incorrect assumption is based on the medical model that ALL mental health diagnoses are genetically driven and if one has the genes, are doomed to get the mental disease. This model is so profoundly incorrect on so many levels. Keep in mind an 18 month old child can now be deemed bipolar and placed on medication. Schizophrenia is now diagnosed in very young children.

I am well aware of the system , since my son has had to fight the WC system now the end at sight to get a leg removed and he was diagnosed as BI Polar, not, when he went nuts over pain for 24/7 , from half mashed foot and toes missing and 23 surgeries to try to end the nerves, called neurophathy and neurophsis ,and no drug will help..just cut them open one more time...THEY Filled him full of drugs , in Galveston, and he finally said NO MORE>..he gained 50 lbs, was dizzy, sick and could not even think straight and two were for pain , they said, and the others to calm him down, in pain and under the drugs for the other neuros and by the time they filled him full of them, he could have been a dynasour by midnight...HE took them 5 months hoping to get the leg cut off, to no avail...just keep stuffing him with drugs and he will die and we won't have to pay 40k for a leg removal and two prosthesis...Well, thank goodness my son had knowledge and brains enough to throw them in the garbage..HE finally wrote 5 congressmen and the governor of Texas and one day the sun arose..HE got his new leg last week..his final prosthesis...and he can walk, talk and chew gum and is going back to one of his old jobs part time to acclamate his body..HE had a heart attack three yrs ago July 3 because of all the mass 24 yrs of the medical field, trying to PATCH his legs and his nerves cut off by a lead plate door falling on him so Do not have to tell me about the System of FILLEM UP WITH DRUGS>>> THEY will not cause us problems and won't be around long enough to bother the Monetary system of the INSURANCE COMPANY RESPONSIBLE FOR HIS accident...
YES, our children are the culprits now...Can we reverse BIG MONEY and BIG GOVERNMENT laws and mandates???
Plant a garden with what...Seeds from Monsanto or go raid the old man farmers stock down the road , and how long will the old seeds be around and accessible..How long will cattle and our food chain last , containing all the GMO's feed and the harmones and chemicals used for fast market concepts????? Will we see giants and nomes and other abnormalities in mankind before the age ends??
Pull out the positive, throw away the negative and just live for what we know is right and enjoy our lives as best we can..

It is so true about the "over pathologizing of women". I remember the day I had a Dr.s appointment for an annual check up. Minutes before I was supposed to leave home for the appointment, I discovered our cat had been hit and killed by a car. I loved that dumb cat, too. I picked her up off the pavement, body still warm, but gone.
I was a wreck. I couldn't stop the tears flowing while I sat in the waiting room. And when I finally got in to see the Dr. , she decided I was an overreacting emotional mess and gave me some kind of meds, xanax, or something like that, I really can't remember exactly.
I threw them away when I got home! I couldn't believe it when I'd had a moment to collect myself! I thought no wonder there are these people abusing scripts all over the place! When all it took was a few tears! Genuine ones, even.
On another note: I do know kids with loving parents who have children benefiting from ADHD meds. They were a last resort, actually. And then the surprise when the kid actually started improving in school. Also, I know adults who were never diagnosed as children for ADHD, but were as adults... after their own children presented with issues.
So, really the fact these meds exist via the virtues of Big Pharma, just like the fact that guns exist, they too then, are not the problem, it is the people who prescribe them that are the problem and that maybe, they are in need of greater discernment.

OMG Bee, I hear you. I get really tired of it. This 60 minutes segment exposed how the differences between men and women when it came to medications was well known in the medical research field but largely ignored because, as a couple friends of mine who are in medical research and medicine said they were taught, women are replaceable, the one you have is broken/gotten older/ gained weight/earned her degree/etc, just trade her in for a new younger model. Unfortunately, many women have internalized these beliefs and treat women as bad if not worse than men do.
