BE,

 I answered your question.

by beetree on 16 November 2012 - 23:11

Not at all Fellhoffer. Only, that Science exists, ONLY because it is observable. All laws and theories of science and nature are based on the observed.

FACT.

That also means discoverable....perhaps? .... and that could mean....oh we don't want to go there do we?

Science continues to achieve great things as we unlock the discoverable!

I'm trying, but it won't take my long-winded post.  But I have a feeling it's you who doesn't want to go there.  I'll take your dare and I'll double!

by beetree on 16 November 2012 - 23:11

Constants, then... let's start there.... Science loves CONSTANTS!

Name them! Please...?

by beetree on 16 November 2012 - 23:11

How do we KNOW A CONSTANT?

Beetree,

You can go there. If proof of a creator was discovered tomorrow, I would accept it. You can't deny proof and this doesn't hang on evolution alone. The same can't be said for the small minority of young earth creationist such as Shital.

If I ask anyone this question on this board, what do you mean by science; I mean we use the word – but what do we mean by it, what would your answer be? You see if you look up the root meaning of the word science, it means knowledge… And the thing we need to be careful out here is distinguishing between different sources of knowledge.

Example: Their could be atheist that are the great scientists - because they do observational science, in the present, five senses, help built space program or help built whatever it could be, you guys know what I mean; so we can honor scientists who do that kind the stuff. But when they start talking origin of science that is the different source of science, that we would call historical science, it believes about the past that we weren’t there. And what we need to be careful is that often people are discussing science – sometimes mixing historical and observation together and we need to learn to separate them out.
