help with breed ID - Page 2

Is there any photo that would help with id.

Just to chip in my pennyworth, I don't think there is any Boxer in Lizzy, either. Yes to one of the herders/shepherds, and probably yes to a sighthound type. Who knows - she is probably not a first cross. But I have had Boxers, almost 100% sure there is no Boxer there ...

Boxers do come in that shade of dark brown and black brindle and their tails when not cut, curl like that. It seems in every picture that her tail is raised and curled, so if that is her natural tail carriage, then it sort of cuts out a lot of breeds. Maybe an Asian breed like an Akita might be part of her mix. Also Akita's like most of the Asian breeds can come in brindle. Really hard to tell though, so I'd just do the DNA test to be sure.

She could have got the brindle from many other sources : Dutch Herder; Greyhound ; who knows ? Boxers do not have some extra claim on brindle markings. Really not sure the DNA for ancestry test is worth spending your money on, OP, as we have heard far too many tales of it coming up with complete nonsense LOL. Just enjoy her for what she is & looks like, and don't worry about it. Even if she was a definite first cross between two known breeds, it would not tell you 100% what she is like, e.g. in temperament, or what she might throw if mated; the genetic mix is too much of a crapshoot to be sure of anything more than 'guidelines' even inside ONE breed, on most things except overall looks !

 

PS  It's the EYES that tell you whether Boxer is present, not the coat colour.  And undocked tails can vary tremendously in every breed still making the adjustment.

Catahoula would be my guess, mixed with pit, possibly mal. Don't see any GSD or husky.

Pit bull (general bull breed mixed BYB type not pedigreed lines) sheep herder of some sort.
Village dingo sort of all American heintz 57 type dog. She probably is the product of 4 or more crossed bred dogs.
I do not see Boxer at all, not German Shepherd.
And not really husky either.
Having seen a lot of semi-feral village dogs in central America. She sort of fits that random dog type.
Medium size, slightly long bodied. Upward curved tail, prick eared and indistinct head type.
Her eyes and muzzle say some type of pit dog.
But probably not really dutch shepherd, even though they are crossed with pit type dogs.

She's pretty and i really like her brindle.

I'm no expert in dog analysis but I see Pitt/Dutch Shepherd & Catahoula. I guess your thinking husky because of the tail maybe IDK? I'm assuming you'll figure it out if you do the DNA testing. Goodness please let us know if you find out for sure. Oh & BTW she is AWSOME & so unique. That dang white thunder bolt looking stripe on her face looks bad a** ! & good luck to you
