Another good option is a rating for the thread itself, a good topic would be seen by much more people because of the rating of the thread and the following posts. Could we also get an option to subscribe to a thread as well? That way we can keep check of the threads we want to keep an eye out on?

As a member of A LOT of various forums(not all dog related), I just want to say that those with the like or like/dislike feature attaches the individuals name.the
I understand how certain folks can ruin for all, but I think being held accountable may help random disliking.

I do like thought of at lease having a like button & being able to track it. As Jenni said, I would click on the like feature(when first available) thinking I'd be able to access those posts at a later date.

Of course being this is a forum, no one will be 100% happy no matter what you do ;) So thanks to all the moderators!!

Although, I admit, I assumed they were linked to usernames, so I was clicking like on posts I wanted to be able to refer back to; I''ve even liked a few of my own posts w/info that I wanted to save (links, info I could send to someone w/out retyping, etc.) or threads to refer back to, stupidly thinking I could go look it up somehow, like you can on other sites once you've "liked" or "disliked" something. I thought there was a record.

Wait a minute! There WAS a record! I clearly remember a button that said 'Your Liked Posts', and, I think, another that was for 'Most Liked Posts!'

I would be in favour of a 'like' only option, but I don't feel very strongly about it one way or another.

I liked the "likes" and "dislikes" This was an easy way to say "all right" or "no". Sometimes you don´t need to write an answer, yes or no simply is enough.
Showing the name of the "liker" or "disliker" might be a good idea, the "dislike fairy" at least would start to think about hitting the button.

i agree with susie's post. also, i believe there was a way to"find" the post you had liked. I used the function heavily andwould have liked ti even better id it had shown the owners of the "likes" and dislikes" now my post are lost

I find it funny that they would be removed because of "abuse". If you want to see some real abuse just state your opinion. lol
I like them as well but would be nice to see who.
