I had to cover things up again, expecting frost in the morning.
Soon.....very soon.

We have a freeze tis morning--another record they say. So I got out last night and covered everything up. Looks pretty good today. Will it ever stop the freezes so I can put stuff in the ground?

It's been hot enough, I even have tick bites, but the jet stream isn't holding up yet.
Iris's are starting to bloom, and the Dogwoods.
When I hear Katy-did's I'll know it's summer.

Same thing in Tyler , as I am not there,,,family is covering and taking my big hanging baskets inside for two night....Here in Lake charles, I opened front door about 11 pm to let out Scarlet for last Potty break and almost fainted with cold wet spray in my face..Shorts today sweats tomorrow...the swamp birds care less but the crops are so mixed up....

In a few weeks we will be crying in our spilt milk:"where is that cold front"

I took a drive up the interstate today, making a dogfood run, and the fields are covered in Golden Rod, the prettiest bright yellow you've ever seen when the sun hits it.
But then you catch the stench of rotting bulk turkey shit that the farmers are spreading on the fields and for a mile or so it takes your breath away.
Was still a pleasant drive most of the way.
