Trolls crave attention more than they crave sex, even - otherwise, they would be out looking for the sexual partners they don't currently have and not spending so much time here.

So assuming you would not want to sleep with a troll and give the troll sexual pleasure, why give the troll something even more meaningful to the troll by responding to the troll's nonsense?
