Ruiz,
Have Ronny van den Berghe out for a seminar,  make it an old fashion Texas Barbecue. Steaks, corn bread, potato salad. No chili beans.   And some good old fashion risen hell,
Texas style. Country music and little Stevie Ray Vaugh music for the wild and restless.
You need to know how they do it in Belgium Girl, that's what I am talking about. Not in Germany.

Wolf,
Oh I know how to hook it up Texas Style, BBQ (no chili beans) and Stevie Ray, oh yes... I may even decide to pick up a guitar and get the dogs to howling ;-) My husband makes the best BBQ in Texas. In fact he just finished this little project...

Steve,
I appreciate your support! I just spent about 30 minutes training with each dog and will do the same when I get home from work, only I will take them each for a 15-20 minute walk instead. It should be nice and cool by then, and I want to walk a different route than I usually do.
Oh and I had a bit of a scare the other night... It was around 10 pm and I was walking from the convenience store to my car which was parked around the back, in the dark. A couple of young guys started walking really fast behind me and I was getting nervous because there was nothing except my car in that spot so absolutely NO reason for them to be coming directly at me. I opened the door and jumped in and rolled the window down. (It's a 66 Mustang so no power windows, I had to roll fast) Galan was in the back seat and leaned his head over my shoulder to look at the strangers who were now almost next to my car, I glanced at them then at Galan and said loudly  "AT EASE, NO BITE! YOU STAY" And they immediately changed direction!  Now those are NOT words I use in training but the thug-looking guys had no  idea, and it made them walk away just as fast as they came up on me. HAHAHA!!
Poor Galan in my guess would probably not have even protected me. I just don't know what he would have done if something had happened but he was intimidating enough I guess. I hate going anywhere in this city because of all the muggings. Just outside my work a week ago a couple, man and woman snatched an elderly lady's purse, in broad daylight in a busy parking lot! They got caught and the police were all out front, three cars. From what I had over heard they were asking her for a cigarette or money (which is something else that really bothers me...Eveerywhere you go, almost every day someone asks for money or cigarettes!) Just another reason I can't wait to move. Anyway enough of my ramblings...
Jason,
Indi requests more pictures of her brother. I got a few I took the other day I will send you!
Hugs,
Stacy

Oh Jason, check out the look in Indi's eyes. She wasn't chewing the pillow at all. She was guarding it. very, very possessive like Zasko.
I have to keep her on a leash because she will not return anything to me. She wants me to chase her. LOL

Stacy
Well i was mugged when i went over to a pigeon show in Blackpool a year or so  ago, THese two Guys came up behind me and on a Sunday morning as well, I naturally thought it was footsteps of more Pigeon Guys so did not look back until i got a smack between my shoulder blades but i got the better of them and one went for hospital treatment i was told some time after so perhaps they will not do it to others in the future but do that sort ever learn. You never know when it may happen Cowards they are , You should not walk alone in the dark Not in this day and age for a woman it is not safe

Very scary Steve, I remember you telling me about that!... When people walk by me  I always say nonsensical things to the dogs like "No Bite!" or "Easy!"
I guess it's a good thing that little Lina dislikes strangers approaching us. Maybe I will act like I can hardly hold her and they will cross the street hahah!!!

It really isn't funny though, and I can't stand being afraid when I go for walks. I stay very alert and keep my cell phone with me. I have even considered carrying a gun! I don't know if that is a very good idea or not though, especially since I don't know the gun laws here.  :-/
Now I am thinking maybe I don't want to go for a walk after work since it will be after 10 pm and I am the biggest chicken ever! I walk several nights a week, but have only brought Galan since he is much more intimidating looking and stares at strangers. As I said they don't know he wants to be friends and I don't give them a chance to find out!

Steve 1,

Mugged at a pigeon show? That is really a strange place to get mugged.
Unless they thought you were a .......I am not going to say it.
I hope you got some Steve, nailed one of them in there goodies.
( unless they thought you were a pigeon) bad joke sorry Steve1, I could not help myself.

Personal protection dogs are becoming a reality. You my see a futuristic
movie with people walking around in the city with dogs as common place.
Sanitation maybe a problem.

Ruiz,  Oh Ya that is a barbecue. In Texas it is Quarter houses, but in Germany
and Belgium It is Warm bloods. Dressage or cutting I like them both.

by JasonL on 29 May 2010 - 00:05

Haha I recognized that look. Ike is just the same way. Must have gotten it from Papa Zasko. When I took Ike to Michael Ellis's seminar, even Michael had problem getting him to out his tug and Michael's whole system of obedience training is based on a dog having a clean,  unconflicted "out". We've been working on it. Some days he is good and other days he is not so good. The possessiveness comes in very handy though in puppy bitework as you know with Indi.

Thanks for all the compliments guys, but Ruiz is really only growing these little bitches out for me and sending them my way, when they are ready to breed.
