I was so focused on the man, when he began to tell me that I did not need to donate for the dog, I corrected him when he began to give me the info, no not the dog the homeless gentleman. they apperantly getting lots of calls on GSD but nothing on the MAN. So truth be told, I am tired and long day, was only focused on what I wanted. so if somone picks up the tourch, can you find out the whole story. Hung up the phone and it registered in my tired brain, sorry........

No problem, I know tired!  Thanks for the update and info!  As much as I feel for the dog, I can't believe more people aren't inquiring about this guy!

The dog gets out into the neighbors yard, she has a litter of 3 or 4, and the neighboor threatened to to get rid of her. she got out and the truck was seen driving off. However did not get the license plate. She is now with a GSD rescue and they hve washed her many times having a hard time getting the oil nd smell out of her. At this time not sure where she will be going, not wanting to send her backhome to someone who she escapes from she is 7.5 years of age.
So the neighboor from hell did this.

His name is J. Dudley Beevers. he did 2 tours of duty in Vietnam, Army. He was working for FEDEX and was robbed, shot multilpule times, stomach and lost his leg. This blew apart his life, lost his home, lost his family. Was living with sister and with the economy the grown kids moved home, and 1 is gang related,  he can not tolerate. So he hit the streets with the house being to full and 1 in questionable affilation. His Army buds pick him up and take him to Sisters to wash his clothes and take showers. Sheila states he is the cleanest homeless man you have ever seen. he is picked up for haircuts and he drinks snapple and Ice water. he rescued another dog named biscut, a pit and sharpie (sp) mix, and he has kept him. Sheila helps him with the vaccaines for the dog and worming. She told me when they gave him the tent there were tears in his eyes. Shelia states he is doing the best he can with what life has delt him and continues to appreicate the little things. (can the spelling police forgive me, product of no phonics, and so tired). This story could belong to anyone of us at any time.
 .

If you are in a position to do so and in the mood.

We need to find someone in that area that is able to provide a home for this gentleman.  Is he getting any kind of aid from our government VA etc.?  Donations are great, I'm sure he has a checking account but money or gifts can be stolen on the street.  I don't want him loaded down with a bunch of material things that would become burdensome.  I want to find him a home, a roof over his head so to speak.  Who do we need to contact for something like this?  I work 8-5 so hard for me to follow up on this but I could maybe get my husband to help out with phone calls if we have people to call.  Any ideas folks?

I think FEd ex needs to retrain him and put him behind a desk and EMPLOY HIM.

Anyone can go on Face book and start the story and maybe a plea to FED EX, I truly do not have the time or I would figure it out. Plus they get tax Credits for hiring the disable.

And/Or maybe a campaign to flood Oprah's email asking her to contact fedex and employ him. she does alot of business with them, they transport her horses.
If anyone has the time to pick this up and run with it. I am sending a check, the lousy way out, I know, but it all the energy I have right now. He is not an ignorant man, I trust he will not keep the funds on him. So If you have a few extra please send it.
