Let's be realistic, Olli is providing us with a service, free of charge, it is his site to do as he wishes, we do not have a say in the matter. The thread that was deleted was innocent and dog related but hardly worth getting so annoyed about deletions, JUST POST IT AGAIN, easy as that. Boycotting the site will not work as for every 10 that do 100 won't, unworkable. This is being taken way out of hand and far to seriously, move on, it's done, nothing going to change it. We do not own or run this site it is Olli's. END OF.

Ditto.

Get over it. These threads are wearing. We get the point.

4 legs good. 2 legs bad. Let's get back to 4 legs and good stuff from the 2 legged owners.

Steve, it wasn't me. I've had more than a few posts go missing, too. It is quite easy. All anybody has to do is hit the abuse button 5 times, at least that is my educated guess for the magic number. I personally don't think Oli is bothering to read any thing. I think he has it programmed to delete at certain times of the day, those threads or posts that hit the magic number.

So the tricky part is, any body can get any thing deleted. Some might even delete someone's post hoping it gets blamed on someone else. Wouldn't that be great troll fun? That is my theory any way. Get used to it, or don't post, I guess.

I think it could be fixed if OLI limited the number of Report Abusive times to one, per computer, on any given topic or thread.

(And for the record, I love hearing about your Show experiences with Izzy. I admire you for what you are doing with her. Your passion for your dog and the sport you share come through in your posts.)

I do think someone is messing with you, maybe the same one messing with my posts? No way to know, without Oli giving it up.

I left my house at 6:30 this morning and have been out all day.  I did pop on here when I got up, but didn't really read much.  I didn't see the thread in question so can't comment on the content, other than to say, if Steve1 posted it, I'd assume it was not against the TOS.  The question is, who is having them deleted, any why?  There were a few fun threads that I've participated in over the last couple of days that I'm surprised to see still here!  I would not have been offended had they been removed becuase even thought they were a lot of fun, it wasn't dog related.  Disappointed maybe, but not offended.  It just doesn't make any sense.  Oli is the only one that knows for sure.

Does this message board remind anyone else of that TV show "LOST"?

The Never Ending Story.

Everyone reaching for a branch to cling to,
If you could only see the tree.

Monkey killing Monkey.

And finally, one day, the tree.
Then you'll have to walk.

And since your vision is so limited,
you'll spend all your time looking down at your feet.

Imagine a bunch of Monkeys all bumping into one another as they try to see where they are going,
one foot at a time.

It would be funny, if it wasn't so sad.

What gets me is what people like V Stephanitz would think if they could see something like the computer which could be used for such good, that could have such power to help and improve our breeds.  Imagine all he did with such limited ability to communicate!  Without health testing.

We folks that follow today use these tools for what? Name calling. Bickering.  I wonder if Stephanitz would be one of these - or would he be somewhere on a "serious" board that banned those who were childish?  Seems like it might be time for some of you serioius shepherd folks to form a serious board... not that hard to do. The problem, as I see it, is that in any breed the serious folks have limited time on the computer... they are busy with their dogs. "Forum rats" have plenty of time to play their games.

Someone like Von Stephanitz who obviously had vision would not be here using a computer at all.
He would be busy bringing his vision into reality.

Your right about one thing tho, serious folks do not post here.

(Imagine all he did with such limited ability to communicate!)

Why would he have any need to communicate with anyone?

I am not accusing any one person of doing it that is unfair and wrong, i know we have our differences when posting on here and it will happen, But i do not EVER bare the one i am posting to any grudge at all, That is stupid and when its over with the talking it is over and forgot with me there may possibly be a next time but the last one is water under the bridge simply we do not agree in words a point or two nothing else,
Many on here i have had a run in with but i still post and they do on my threads like they have on this one It it only words nothing else I guess if i met them in real life i would be sure to by them a Drink and have a natter about Dogs
