Two Moons

by Two Moons on 14 June 2010 - 18:06

GSDtravels,
Sorry I missed your post, as I recall I got up and went outside for a while before I slept that night.
So many things interfere with sleeping for me I am used to it.
Specific music helps sometimes for me.
Depends on why I can't sleep in the first place.
Sometimes it's in my head and I've learned to see black, a mental exercise that empties all thoughts and mental images.
Then the damned dog will wake me up !
Having someone in the house on a second shift doesn't help either.
The loss of time slept doesn't bother me as much as lost dream time.  If you don't dream you have not slept.
Sometimes it's just about letting go, other times there's simply no cure at all.
I usually can't sleep leading up to and during the full moon.
That's when I get sorta strange, like I'm missing out on something, like sleep !
That's when I use music and it does help, sometimes.
So does a joint, or two fast shots of Rum, but not always.
Actually in the old days I relied heavily on sex...........:),  worked every time.
Ah the good ole days.   In those days I worked so hard I didn't need much help to sleep, tho I still woke up at the snap of a twig outside or a car going up the road.
A certain bark of the dogs always gets me up quick.

Having a baby in the house will definitely alter your sleeping habits 4pack.....lol
I hope everything goes smoothly and on schedule.

Most people these days do not get enough quality sleep time and it wears on them, it's unhealthy, stressful.
Best advice,
Hard work, soft music, and sex, perhaps after a good joint and putting out the dog.

Moons.

Well Moons, I may take some of that advice soon, but not tonight.  Bad day, worse night, now NO sleep in the cards.  My daughter's having some more complications with this pregnancy, I'm glad it's her last.  Never thought I'd say that, LOL, I'd love to have ten grandchildren!  But, this one's been hard on her.  She's still doing the injections twice a day and now she's 70% effaced and started to dilate slightly at 32 weeks (she's now at 33 weeks).  They can't put her on bed rest because of the clot, so she's on limited activity, as in...  I get to go every day and take care of the kids while my son-in-law is at work.  Then I get to leave and go to work, come home, go to bed and get up and do it all over again the next day.  And she doesn't live close, it's a 30 minute drive.  Then, two days a week, I work early mornings, so I get to go to work, come home to pick Drake up and head to her house for the day, leave there, drop Drake off and go to work.  My own house is a mess, I'm not getting much sleep, but my daughter and the baby are top priority.

But tonight was the kicker, lack of sleep makes me do stupid things, like lock myself out of the building and not be able to get back in.  My keys, purse, money and phone were all in the building, but I wasn't.  I had to borrow a phone and get in touch with my boss so he could send somebody with a key... that took almost two hours.  Nightmare!  So, I didn't get home until late and have 3 jobs scheduled for tomorrow!  Since alarms don't wake me, I'm screwed!  So, I'll stay up all night, go to the first job around 3 am, go to the second job at 7, go to my daughter's for the day and then head back to work at 6 tomorrow night!  Sound like fun?  I may be able to catch a few hours while the baby naps, but other than that, I'll be a zombie.  Good thing my hours are flexible.  The only bonus in the whole thing is no traffic in the middle of the night.  But morning rush hour headed into town with no sleep will be a real bitch!

4pack, best of luck!  Here's hoping for a quick, easy delivery... followed by a mellow baby that sleeps all night (I had one of those too, isn't that the best thing, EVER?!).

Actually Mark, if she delivered now, the baby would most likely be okay, but small.  The biggest concern would be lung development.  If she can hold out for 2 more weeks, the picture would be much brighter so we'll do what we can to keep him cookin'!  He was sideways until a few days ago also, but is now head down and in position, so that's a good thing too.  There are many things to worry about, but also things to be grateful for.  As long as she doesn't overdo it, her doctors are hopefull that we'll get her past 35 weeks, we'll see!

Guess who else is up..???  Lol

it is  1:41 am here in Texas and I have so much on my mind I am  sleepless.!!

Did you get the Link of my neighbor being MURDERED?

sent you the Gal daily newspaper on line and the video   the Texas City Police did.    She as strangled and stuffed under her mattress.

Ms Britt is not a sit down lady even though  83yrs old..she acts like 55 yrs old..and do not know if this happened during sleep or not..

She  would have put up one fight if not caught in her sleep.  The Pd are being tight lipped.

Those of us living alone are to be very careful as the sign of the times and the economy are causing many seniors to be a quick target for money or  taking what the thief wants.

Hope all goes well with the baby and she makes it just one more week..

Get rest and ttyl

Going Gun shopping in the morning with my soon to be.

He wants me to take the  Concealed gun course and get my permit..He is buying me a little Lady Taurus 380  ,  that can be worn in a pouch on  a belt .   And it is PINK !

My 38 special is too heavy and big to tote all evening while doing my chores..I sometimes lay it on truck or on the well house and come in and leave it...not good
Will say prayer for you and family...Give Drake a kiss...

Good Lord, YR...So sorry to hear that frightening news... Gun shopping would certainly be on my list first thing in the morning. I have been thinking really hard about getting a permit too...

GSDT, I'll be praying for your daughter too.

11:52 here, just got back froma nice walk with Galan and wide awake. I couldn't resist and made a damned ice coffee.

Moons had some good ideas...definitely the right kind of music...No love making, it gives me a burst of energy LOL
And yeah the damned dog always gets me too! This morning at about 3:30 I took a sip of water and fell asleep. The problem was I was so exhausted and didn't realize it, that I didn't put the bottle of water back on the table. And...you guessed it, it tipped over and spilled all over me... I jumped up SO fast and was furious of course lolol!! What a dummy I am.
Have to pass on the joint ... One toke and it would send me into a full blown panic attack LOL My days for that have looong gone ;-)
