HA HA HA!!! RS, I  can't handle anymore ducks..... 9 is enough and I need to downsize!! LOL.
I have my Erri daughter flying here on Thursday, so that will make 3. My 7 yr old daughter has taken over as handler for Ruger so I really only have to train 2 and observe 1. This is going to be fun.... Thank goodness I am young!

Oh.. He is 8 1/2 weeks

RG, what on earth kind of chicken is that black critter in front of the silkie?  That is the oddest beast I've seen in quite a while!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!1 I am busting at the sides!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry, I have not heard alfalfa referred to as a black critter beast.... My poor poor Alfalfa, he is a black frizzled silkie(AKA Frilkie) and he is the most fantastic roo I have ever owned, and the best breeder ever, very gentile with my hens.

Yeah thanks for all the compliments...he is a superchunk for sure, but not too little at well over 20 lbs.  I swear his forearms are the same size as mine. He is really calm and he thinks carefully already. None of my pups give a dang about chickens because I have 7 of them myself; they just ignore them like grass or something. I'm just glad that isn't a picture of him EATING that cat! Rugers, yours will be the perfect place to proof him against animal distractions!

I'm REALLY glad to see him out of the gang of the 7 puppies that remain because he needs to develop his own character, and Rugers needs a dog to work. She is a great one to grow him out, that's for sure.

PS. Rugers....which end of that bird is the head and which is the butt?

AAWWW VM, you say such nice things about me, I am honored you allowed me to help. Thank you!
Now about the chicken butt - head issue.... I asked the same thing a week ago! LOL
If you look at the pic of Con with the chickens.... He is sniffing the rooster butt!!!! I should have captioned above the rooster's head..... "YEAH! SMELL MY BUTT!!!"

Very nice!   It will be fun to "watch" him grow through pictures.

And I remember when you first brought home silkies....
