Some of the idiots on this thread????? I do not see one person here disagreeing on the ignorance of the owners of these dogs. So maybe you should untwist your undies and read exactly what folk have said, maybe the idiot title is closer to home. I 'm out!!!!!!

And to the person whom said that pits, bully breeds and mastiff descendants do not serve a purpose in society-

Why is it many families own them as great family pets without incident?
what purpose does any pet serve?
Why is it that pits and other mastif breeds are awarded working dog titles in competition?
Why is it the can serve as estate gaurdians?
Why is it the can serve as PPD dogs?
Why is it the are still used as a game breed? I personally have a friend whom uses a bull terrier for ground hog and other small game hunting.

Let me think what is you purpose in life? humans have screwed up the world much farther than any breed of dog. So what is your purpose to live?

Think to yourself cause i could careless about the ignorant replies this would recieve.

Why the hell would you like german shepherds if you would condemn another working breed. Talk about being unworthy!

Bazza you have said.
Thugs will always have guns....THUGS being the operative word.

What I meant  is that if you make guns illegal the thugs will be the only ones who will always have guns.( Not that the only people who have guns are thugs.)  Thus government who takes my means of protection away from me is not OK. Self protection is a inherited or God given right. Any dog, mouse or any other animal has it. Why not me? Us?

Then you have said:
In answer to your question hypothetical of course. I honestly 100% would not need any gun in that situation and anyone who knows me knows why. I know gun carrying is the norm for USA and some other places, but not here in the UK, I have lived my long, happy, crime free life that way and will continue to do so. Do people here carry guns as weapons, sure, illegally, but it will never become legal for all to carry a gun, thankfully. That's our way of life as it is your way of life to carry them, each to their own.

Bazza I think that you are all right and fair person who is able to change mind and admit to a mistake>That is a rare commodity. But really I would like to hear from you why you would not be willing to defend your lowed ones the best possible way if they were in peril. Your  former post fascinates me. I am not being facetious. Honest.

Prager, I would defend my loved ones with every breath of my body, and I would not need a gun to do that, I would lay down my life for them. I am a law abiding citizen, the law of this land does not permit the use of guns in this manner. Is that right? In my opinion yes, that is the way I have been brought up, it is a way of life here, just like the use of guns is a way of life for you. We will never change each others mind on this, nor do I wish to. I agree it is our right to defend ourselves and our loved ones but not with a gun, not in this country. I can only imagine the anarchy here if everyone was armed with guns, it just does not bare thinking about. Now if I lived in America, where, with no disrespect, the crime rate is far greater than here, would I carry a gun?? I honestly cannot answer that. I have never, and will never need any weapon other than what I came equipped with to defend my family, and I have had to do that on several occasions. I think you and I will have to agree to disagree on this, we both have very strong opinions on the subject, something both of us were born and bred with and neither will change our minds. I respect your opinion living in America, I hope you can respect mine living in the UK, two completely different worlds.

Why did no one comment on the tragic death of this little girl (while the other threads are booming on mistreated dogs) until Hamza repeated what his dad said? Why is that, do you think?

-------------

RS -- It is frightening to even think about why not many have commented on the tragic death of this child, but they will go on and on for page after page about DDR's dogs.    Very telling and very sad.

What a tragedy, stupid people with dogs they can't control and the child pays the ultimate price.  BTW, interesting that some can bash others for making no comment on the child's death, while making no comment themselves!

Deleted - like so many I have posted.   Did you ever think about that?

Maggie,

I have them saved you never posted your opinion that DDR was anything but your friend. Hell you are probably the one sending her the supportive pm's.

Keep sweeping.
