My nephew used to work at one of the local casinos. He told us if we came down late at night when the boss wasn't around, he could "adjust" one of the machines so it would pay out more often. I passed on the offer and shortly afterwards my nephew was fired.Interesting to find out there's no such thing as a lucky machine, only ones that have been programed to pay out more often.

My daughter just manages the the casino, not the machines.. She is not employeed by the state......Totally two different departments......Those machines have special keys that only certified State employees have...No one other than those employees can get into the machine without totally destroying it....So he obviously lied to you..unless he was employed by the state, certified and had access to a key.......Good Lord, if your nephew rigged the machine, which is illegal and is a federal offense, he must be in jail....
Good thing for you, that you passed on his offer....

Let's not have another thread go spiraling into the abyss. You can believe or not believe the story, it is certainly plausible enough. If you did win do something fun with the money, buy yourself a nice gift.

You and others have the right mentality about gambling at the casinos. The reason they are in business is that ALL the odds are in their favor, so QUITTING when ahead is usually a very smart move.

Pleasant surprise to find a $5 bill and have even found a $20 in a coat from last years wearing...wondered then where my money went...I lost a big ring one time for 7 months when my son cleaned my shoe closet out and in the floor under a coat I wore a year ago was my ring....never know where we find a treasure...or two..
SOme people buy a lotto ticket every week here in Texas and never win a dime..others have bought one and won half a million.....I do not gamble my precious dollar as I can buy a Taco with that dollar and that is lunch once in a while...
