Actually I was thinking that there are a few people on there would probably do such things, since they have already stated they want certain others gone from the forum....

Freezing some of the more consistently abusive posters, so that they could only READ posts, but not post themselves, would be ideal. But, we know that such individuals would simply start using other aliases to get around that. Too bad. Perhaps a rule that no one can use more than one name, and anyone who does will be exposed? For most people, the specter of being exposed for their dishonesty and attempt to mislead would be enough of a deterrent.

What about if everyone was required to use their real name, as their user name and join as a legitimate person. Other forums are that way, and they don't have no where near the drama, accusations and trolling as seen here.....I bet that would eliminate alot of the trouble makers....

I like Bob's idea. That would eliminate public discussion on how the forum should be moderated while your absent. It would also keep the peace no matter what the topic is. The people who would abuse the power wouldn't have contributing posters .. and the OP'ers who are fair and balanced would get the forums attention and participation. Your forums would only get better.
I dunno how it works with some, but more than less is healthy via fair, balanced and educated debates that also rate with the intellectuals of societies.
