Pack, I never thought of that, and I do have a dremel!  it's industrial, but I'm sure it'll work.  Great idea, thanks!

It is amazing what they can do to themselves and never make a whimper. My Shelby was chasing a squirrel and suddenly turned on the asphalt and completely ripped her nail right out. I  didn't even know it happened until I saw blood all over the place. She wasn't even limping. It did grow back, but it is malformed :(

When Drake was about a year old, I was taking him to a private trainer and starting bite work.  One day it was raining so he was working him on a concrete pad.  All of a sudden, there was blood everywhere, mixing with the rain and pooling!  I couldn't figure out where the blood was coming from until I realized he wore his nails past the quick on the concrete!  All of his nails were bleeding, front and back!  He didn't even flinch, he wanted the sleeve!
