I was referring to the SV standard which requires, hips, show rating , working titles, AD, KKl and temperament test.  This dog is much more than a "pretty boy."  To compete twice in the LGA is very impressive on it's own.

Jim

I deleted everything I wrote about the "AKC" and the American standard.  I did not want this thread being derailed into an AM GSD vs German GSD and standards.

Emma,
Do you own Candi?.... If you do....tell me how the Candi  X  Aly litter
are doing from last summer. I love that breeding...Will you do a repeat breeding?

Thank you for all this educational and knowledgeable information given on the german SV standard.  It's nice.  But can I presume since this dog is being offered at public stud that he has been cleared of DM and that his eyes along with available ancestors have been certified of no abnormal or inheritible diseases that could be passed on to his puppies.  Can I presume that he has been tested for VWD before he is bred and could possibly pass this inheritible trait on to his progeny; the list of testing for clearances goes on and on.  Can you offer these things to the public or to people buying his puppies?

Believe me, it isn't going to matter what the working titles and achievements this dog has behind his name if he passes on just a few of the above mentioned traits to his puppies.

Like I stated above, good luck with him.  Nan

Emma,

Amigo has a.......

HD-ZW health clearance of 75 done this year.....very good less than 1% of all stud dogs have that.

He is V rated in conformation................very good... about 1% of all males have that.

His score 294 V in his ScHh.......................very good...less than 1% of 1%...have that.

His pedigree is almost flawless..........very good  ...less than 1% have that.

So Emma,...... why do you think you have a good  stud dog there?

                                                             Amigo.....Mi casa su casa!!!!

Hi,
I hardly ever respond to the postings on pedigreedatabase. The reasons are obvious. Some people on here have a chip on their shoulder at all times. It seems to me they are too busy with their sour attitudes. They haven't heard nor use the words praise and constructive criticism. Nan, do you talk to your customers like this? How about you post your dogs pedigrees on here so we can give you a taste of yourself.
That is a nice stud dog and you have put a lot of work, time and money into this dog. I wish you luck in the future! And don't let the sour pusses on here discourage you.

You didn't come to talk about how great the dog is, only to sell stud service on a message board...

More power to ya, lets get that boy layed !!

Well, she isn't the first one to post a stud dog here, nor will she be the last....I think posting it here isn't a bad idea since alot of people post here asking for stud dogs...   If posting in this section is the absolute worst thing that happens or happened here, than  this message board is doing GREAT!!!!!  Think back of a few of the threads that were posted......That was wrong for more than one reason......but it was in the correct section....

BTW: AWESOME male  with an AWESOME pedigree......Glad you shared him on this side, because many of us probably never would have had the pleasure of seeing him otherwise.........THANKS....

Moons,
The only thing I think is necessary is commentary, I don't
think some one should post an ad  here and not give some
discussion. If it is a dog topic, and more importantly a working dog
topic. We need such topics. The best way to learn is right from a
breeder who has done their work. Like Hans, Ivan, Haas, etc. Some
of the well known breeders in Europe are more than welcome to
come and talk about their bloodlines. Why they breed some dogs, but stay
away from others. If they plug their dogs, thats ok.

What I don't like is to just drop an ad and say nothing in commentary.
In my opinion if Emma says this is my stud dog and I am open for
discussion about him. And proceeds to answer questions. It should
be considered an interview with the public forum. If she says nothing,
than it is placing an ad in the wrong place.

The biggest thing is to recognize when you have an opportunity to talk to
a very good breeder. Also owners of past famous dogs.
