It's just a game we are forced to play periodically. :)  Don't know why!

NoCurs,

Actually, I did those kinds of crazy things until he started his aggression with strangers. One of the craziest things we did was taking Prince to Home Depot and pushing him around in a cart .....lol... up and down the isle meeting people. lol...he loved it and the people loved it too. I also took him to Walmart and went in and out of the automatic doors meeting people......lol.....we had a lot of fun.... We have not been out and about as much lately because of the aggression. Good news is, this weekend we started working with a behavior trainer. She gave him two corrections with a pronged collar and told him to 'Knock it off"..... when he started his barking and lunging at my guests. He was a new boy and fine for me all weekend. Prince even allowed my guests to pet him. Prince went back to his obedience class on Monday with the trainer handling him. He never showed one bit of aggression the whole time.  I am thinking of starting a new  thread to update my last thread called ...'.What should I expect'......I wanted to update some folks on Prince's progress with the trainer.

Thanks for the post ............... Ruger1

Sounds good. Perhaps he just needed a bit of guidance about what to do with his uptight feelings causing the aggression (common in young dogs).  Along with the jerk-jerk training consider some positive stuff as well, allowing him to see that people are ok.  I'm glad things are moving along for you.  Its really important NOT to stop taking him out at his age, because of the aggression. Now is the time to tackle the issue.  You can always PM me if you have any questions.
