The buck stops with Oli.
I remember the last time.
It's sad some people are so immature, with little or no manners.
It's equally sad that the message board has come to this.
I see a hand full of people who could simply be ignored and an abuse button that should be disabled.

So you think a bunch of people were hitting the abuse button on the parvo thread and on Steve's thread about attending an SV show? WHY? I am pretty sure when the abuse button is hit a certain amount of times, the mods or Oli first look at the thread, then determine whether or not it is appropriate before dumping the thread. If you are right, and someone is hitting the abuse button not because they think the thread is inappropriate but because they want to play havoc with the board, then doesn't the onus belong on them, not the abuse button?

Read the thread in question and I can't see why it was deleted. I have had posts deleted recently when in a debate with someone, but I also noticed that most of my complmentary comments on pedigrees in the USER COMMENTS section all went at the exact same time. So it was the user name's comments good and not so good ALL went. Why it's done?who knows, who does it? who knows. It was annoying at first as there are some threads here that should have went the minute they arrived, but now I do not bother, just repost if I feel it's important.

No matter who is responsible deleting threads is counter productive and only hurts this message board and it's members.
Too many people want control over our world already.
Enough is enough.
The buck still rests with OLI.

This is not a free speech issue, this is not an American board, and I don't think moderation on message boards hurts anyone. I do think it's counter productive to the purpose of this message board to leave threads up that have nothing to do with dogs, are political, or full of troll postings. If this were a Message Board called Lets Talk About Anything and Everything Under the Sun, I would be the first to step up and agree with you, but I'm pretty sure a message board called Pedigree Data Base is meant to be about dogs, but then again that's just my interpretation, I could be wrong, wouldn't be the first time!
Do you belong to any boards that are not moderated and are meant to be a freeforall to discuss anything? If so, please would you mind posting a link, maybe people would want to check them out?

So...........
Instead of ignoring these posts it's better to control them.
Marvelous.
I gotta go.
Had enough today.

So you would rather everyone follow the rules except for the trolls who take advantage and don't follow the rules because they don't have to? Not me, sorry.

by nonacona60 on 09 May 2010 - 19:05
The problem with that is the trolls don't think they are trolls. They do exactly what they accuse others of doing, But its ok, for them, because they think they are better than the rest. Just because some of the trolls have been here many yrs other not even a year, many people on here support them and encourage their behavior. So I guess it will never end.. All the rules don't apply to all the people all the time. Just some people all the rules apply all the time....

Grow up. I guess when a known troll makes trouble for a year it is ok. Or when a dog abuser uses this site like a playground I guess in your stupid little world that is ok.
Tell someone who cares about you, all you did all day yesterday is bait people to fight with you and when they didnt you start this today you and sis succeeded so lets fight.
