he looks like he'll pass.

the ofa will grade dogs under then 24 months as preliminary. Its not very expensive, 30 or 40$ The results are not posted unless you ask them to be. This takes the guess work out of it.

spine and upper pelvis looks good.  acetebellum on the dog's left is not fully developed - socket somewhat shallow.  wee bit of thickening of femur neck on left also.  elbows not as clean as they could be.  i am going to guess the elbows will still be rated normal and guess the hips to be fair.  be sure to let us know the actual results.  dog appears to be pretty well muscled.  that's good.

I always love to hear those words!

The xray gods would just not smile upon me that day. We ended up taking 8 shots and we finally gave up. I HATE to put a dog under. The main objective was to make sure there are no glaring problems. Here are a couple of Xrays taken by the same vet- still no sedatives but we were lucky enough to get these great shots on the 1st and 2nd shot respectively!
