In my new house I will have a kennel and a dog run.
I am thinking of concrete flooring and the horse mat.

All I have to say is those dogs that ripped to pieces - they must be Gators..lol. I put it in one of my kennels to start with- for the first time and my male went to try to pull the end - I told him no and he hasnt messed with it since dunno why -maybe taste bad.. But even so - he still couldnt pick it up. go figure - chances are - they aren't going to mess with it - I got 4 dogs and they havent bothered with them... but every dog is different I guess - If one thing doesnt work then you have to try something else... so for some 'horsemats' others - I dunno.. I am glad I found the mats
Maggie didnt mean to still your thread - what did you decide to go with?

Like Melissa said, they are 4x6 and thick hard rubber. I can barely lift the corners, or drag them. They are tough! If your dog chewed them he is a gator!

RS -- Yes, it is a Horse Mat - but it is 1/2 inch thick .... still very, very hard for me to cut it. I bought the smallest size roll they carried -- 6 ft by 10 ft .

My Asko has had ate thru his kennel - 9 ga- he eats all of my wood, whether it is logs out of the woodpile or 150 pound platform for him to lay on..he can pick those up and move them. he is strong - I would like to see pictures of these gators that ate these mats I am talking about.
