Thanks FHTracker,

She has no reaction to people coming in on her in a group.  The only issue is when we approach the judge.  I'm not sure why, we are working on this issue we check in and then do the routine and then long down and check out. Last night she did a lot better, but still had a few moments.  I will be working with her again tonight and I will let you all know how it goes.

Thanks again,
Kathyo

Kathy it sounds like you are on the right path.  She just needs to remember she must be disciplined at all times.  I am sure what you are doing will fix this little hiccup.   As others have said, try to remain calm.

I had one dog that never got rattled by my nerves.  He would just look at me as if to say, don't worry I've got it lets get out there".  The dog I have now is the opposite.  If I get nervous he wants to step away from me, he looks at me like "I don't know who the hell you are, but you sure aren't Sue and I ain't working for you".  My nerves make him jittery.   It just proves what I always say, every dog has many important things to teach us.  This one is teaching me (among other things) to have more discipline and not let my nerves get the best of me.

Thanks sueincc,

I did notice the difference last night with me.  I told my self that she could do this and I went up there feeling confident.

You all have help out a lot, I love this fourm.  I wanted to let you all know that last night when we approached the judge to check in she did fantastic.  She walked up sat in basic position and did not wiggle around.  We did have a little bit of trouble when checking her ear though.  It still was way better than the times before.  She did great when we finished our routine and long down and check back with the judge.  I sure hope she does that good on trial day.

Thanks again,

Kathyo

Congratulations!  Sounds like you're on the right path.  Practice and proof your dog until it's second nature to her to behave at check-in.  Good job!
