lets be serious ,this is the usa and you can breed what you want and people can buy what they want, however i agree humans annd dogs are different. i have owed breed surveyed and non breed surveyed dogs, the non breed surveyed dogs have done well, but  i do notice a slight difference amoung breed surveyed dogs, they are strong in all 3 phases, and have excellent structure and they are healthy. im sure there are exceptions. titled dogs have been tested and trained and have reached their maximum potential. you know everything about their temprament and when you breed them you know you well get progeny that will be similar. with untitled dogs you will be less accurate in predicting what their characteristcis will be. unless you have trained and titled your dogs then bred them you will have an idea, of what im talking about.  if i have a choice in purchasing a puppy now i will always choose the one out of breed surveyed parents, that is my choice. the only time i would consider a non breed surveyed dog is if the pedigree is rare and the parents old and that is the last chance i will get that blood. the hips and elbows must have been done as well.

My hips have never been done. I have never been Obedient. There are no letters before or after my name. My production record is known to produce offspring with Aggression Issues.

Unfortunately my former stud was a total nervebag, & it shows in the offspring. None will title, but I still am holding out hope for the grandkids, although titles on one grandparent don't offer much confidence in the lines. My son is good solid workinglines, a little drivey, but a good worker, & his mate is from good working lines as well. My daughter, well, she has inherited her father's temperment, & already has a solid reputation for coming up the leash at her handler, although, IMHO, he is a nervebag, too. Seriously, check the breed survey before you commit, or you'll be committed! jackie harris (who currently is quite happy with her working lines male)

Edit: The nervebag has a BS, so I guess titles aren't everything....he certainly can't work!

AND btw......HI ABHAY! How the hell are you?

Vom Haus
That is excatly what i have been trying to get across to several on here but had to give up trying as they simply did not want to know, you can lead a horse to water but you cannot make it drink, This is why we have so many umwanted Dogs around in the World but these people who think there doormats or couch sitters are good for breeding only add to the problems and i would even bet they live the same way as there dogs on there Butts most of the time,
Its not right and fair to the dogs, but such is life

Hi Jackie!  What's Shakin Girl?  I'm just waiting for the sun to dry out the Amarillo Wetlands that my kennels are in. After a solid week of rain, it's a soppy mess.

Good post, I love it........

I never had my hips checked or has my temperment been tested prior to breeding. My one offspring is currently trying to earn his titles. I have earned titles since I have bred and am still working on more. LOL
